5 years to get it to stick right. And we have a banjo-playing 🪕 college dropout to thank for it. Richard Drew worked at 3M. Inspiration hit while he was testing their latest sandpaper at an auto shop. It was the 1920s and Drew learned that the two-toned paint jobs on cats that were popular at the time were a pain to pull off. Auto shops would try all sorts of hacks, but they usually end smudging easily, ruining the effect. Drew figured he could find a better way. A couple years later, he created masking tape and brought it back to the auto shop. It sucked. But with a bit more experimentation, Drew got it to work and it became one of their 3M’s biggest sellers. It was also the start of a much bigger product line that started with a failed attempt to support a customer. Read more below ⤵️ about how cellophane inspired a thrifty revolution. 🎨Two toned profanity 📌A name stuck too ❓An unsolved problem 📉A successful depression 🛟It needed help What’s your favorite use of tape? #ipidity #patent #trademark #intellectualproperty #innovation

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐀 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 (𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐰 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡) Let’s practice using a circle shape, for example. First things first, bring your needle up from the back of the fabric to the front. Then, give a 1\4 inch gap and push the needle through the end. You can start with running stitch! Next, take that needle straight down and push back about 0.5 mm from the first stitch. Then again, go above the second stitch, give a 0.5 mm gap, and push the needle through it. #sewing #stitching #embroiderystitches #sewinginspo #handsewing

💡Smith Machine Deadlift Quick-Tip⭐️ 👉 I’ve been asked by multiple clients why I prefer they pull their deadlifts inside the machine. 🔸 To perform any deadlift you need to keep a tight grip on your bar. This means that you’re essentially pull that bar towards yourself. 🔸 The way a Smith Machine is racked is by hooks that you twist the bar up and over. 🔻 If you pull that bar towards yourself mid-pull even slightly, you’re gonna accidentally lock the bar in place. ✔️ Standing inside the machine allows you to keep the bar unlocked during your lift! ↘️What’s your favorite quick-tip about Smith Machines?↙️ #strengthtraining #fitnessjourney #liftheavyshit #smithmachine #deadlifts #fitnessform
