As part of the exterior coating process for ALL their 316L products, STRAL use what is arguably the most technically advanced Hard Coating Treatment (HCT) in the sector. The HCT process is one of many unique features used in the making of STRAL’ products, and it is this attention to detail and need to employ new technologies that puts them firmly at the top. Available in three finishes Inox Natural, Graphite and Bronze, HCT guarantees a high surface resistance to corrosion and atmospheric agents, and ensures the surface is resistant to fingerprints and stains. Now for the technical bit. The first phase of the process uses steel microspheres to give the surface a velvety warm feel to the touch and creates a degree of light refraction that gives depth to the colours. These finishes are not created in the same way as other manufacturers. STRAL’s process involves the molecular modification of the surface of the 316L stainless steel, which in turn, adds strength and an aesthetic to the exterior.
