Nutrition Summary This week, I ate 59 lbs of food, including: 41.3 lbs of vegetables, beans, grains, mushrooms 17 lbs of fruit 12 oz of Pistachios 3.4 gallons of cinnamon almond/pea milk (unsweetened) 59 lbs of solid food = 8.4 lbs per day (2X what the average American eats) 17,812 calories = 2,545 daily calories vs 3,500 average American 302 calories/lb of food vs 875 standard American diet Feasting every day on twice the amount of food and still consuming 1,000 daily calories less, and losing 4 lbs per week on average. Week 11 of my vegan ultra experiment. We're less than 2 weeks away from the Breckland 10K! Our colleague and Race Director Clare has some great advice for the upcoming weeks: "Drink plenty in the days leading up to the race. Add an electrolyte to your water to help hydrate! Also remember to eat well and prepare something high in protein to eat within 30 minutes of finishing your 10k run to help your body recover. Recruit a cheer squad to come along and support you on the day to help give you that boost and locate a good spot before you set off. Don’t be tempted to run in new trainers or kit, these should be tested on shorter runs first! Make sure you trial any running accessories before race day to see if they're comfortable while you're running.
