The assassination attempt against Donald Trump – which left a spectator and the gunman dead, two others critically injured – felt like a moment of what Trump once darkly called “American carnage”. And it is likely to have far-reaching ramifications for the US election that we can’t yet predict.

Woke up this morning to the news of assassination attack on Trump in public space in the US of A. And from media outlets, it's a 20 year old sniper that open fire from rooftop/elevated area that was just outside the security cordon. And from the looks of the attacker's picture that was carried in the report, u will be like Huh? Lots of questions will be asked. Security sweep done properly? Risk assessment of the site done properly? No one sense amiss when a mystery chap other than the Security Snipers were also on standby at elevated areas around the venue? Should the firearms control requirement be relooked in the country dubbed Land of Freedom? In recent times, there have been episodes of political figures being attacked in public space. This will surely impact on the security scan + coverage for our political VVIPs as they go about their activity engagement with the public.

Interesting… Lies continue to pile up and get debunked. Where it used to be incumbent upon accusers to provide proof, more and more often it is the accused that must do so. It’s completely backward. I just pray that our courts don’t start following suit. God help us if they do. Accusers are not rarely held accountable when their lies are exposed. They just churn out more and more lies, so everyone turns their attention to the next group of accused, and the next, and the next. It’s completely out of hand. Those lies are believed by millions, and no amount of evidence to the contrary will convince most of them otherwise. Often, we believe the lies we want to believe. We have become so accustomed to so, we hardly notice we are doing it. The lies come to us so quickly and in such vast numbers that we don’t have time to vet them. After all, we have lives to live. What ever happened to court cases for libel and slander, though? When proven in courts of law they are still punishable offenses. Laws are on the books to deter people from doing these things. The fact that libel and slander are so common now does not make them any more acceptable, or legal. The falsely accused should make it a habit to take their accusers to court. That would allow the courts to do the vetting for us. Running the risk of paying a lot of money and/or serving jail time is a great deterrent to that sort of behavior. I understand that court cases take time. I know that by the time a guilty verdict comes, most of the damage has already been done. Once penalties for their lies finally catch up with accusers, though, the accusers will be less likely to reoffend. That will make for a more honest future. What are your thoughts?

The tragic event has sparked a nuanced discussion on the impact it may have on the upcoming presidential campaign. For pro gun-control Americans not affiliated with the democratic party, this event may serve as a catalyst to consider aligning with the democratic agenda to advance anti-gun policies. However, for President Trump, balancing his pro gun rhetoric in response to this incident presents a complex challenge. The analysis delves deeper into the potential implications of Trump's stance on gun control and how it may influence voter behavior. The event has not only stirred discussions on the election but has also shed light on the broader issue of gun violence and the strategic policy decisions made by competing political parties. #GunControl #Politics #Analysis #USPolitics

The heinous attempt on the life of President Donald Trump is a reprehensible affront to the very fabric of our American democracy. The Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce unequivocally condemns this vile act of violence, which has no place in our beloved United States of America, where the principles of liberty and peace reign supreme. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Secret Service, law enforcement agencies, and medical professionals for their prompt and exemplary response, which undoubtedly prevented a far more calamitous outcome. As we stand in solidarity with our nation's leader, we offer fervent prayers for President Trump's refuah shlema - a complete and swift recovery, followed by a full restoration of his health and strength. Politics should be based on policies, not hate, and we condemn all those who promote hate leading to violence and the destruction of true democracy and freedom of our electoral system. May this regrettable incident serve as a poignant reminder of the imperative for unity, peace, and civility in our great nation. 🇺🇸 #PresidentTrump #UnitedStates #PrayForRecovery #StopViolence #PeaceAndUnity #Democracy #FreedomOfVote.

TRUMP CALLS FOR PROTESTS and No one shows up. WHY? 1. Because this one was not preplanned by the local maga propaganda offices? 2. Because he calls NY a shit-hole? (verbatim) 3. Because he stole over half a billion dollars through fraudulent tax and bank statements from NYers?* 4. Because of all the other "hoaxes"? 5. Because he loves Putin and hates Biden? I don't know why New Yorkers might not like the guy. Total mystery. *Every time I write "stole" some maga will say something like. "What do you mean stole?" They heard this loophole on TV, not realizing they are being duped, and that fraud is a just means of theft. Theft = stealing. Need another example? How about using NY's term, sexual assault: a distinction without a difference, to excuse Trump's actual rape of E. Jean Carroll? #maga #theft #frauddefinition #fraud #grift #nationalsecurity #rape #sexualassault #legalanomaly #newyork #misinformation #propaganda

Making Podcastlandia Studio the most effective, affordable digital communications producing service for your brand anywhere.
One of the most enjoyable podcasts, Smartless goes from goofy to presidential. What a fascinating world we live in.
Back in March, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton and I sat down with three real icons – the hosts of SmartLess – to talk about everything from the economy and gun violence, to what we miss about being in office and the importance of sending Joe and Kamala back to the White House. We laughed a little bit, too. Check it out: audible.com/pd/B0D2XKFGW4

if you don't think trump and his supporters present a problem to our constitutional system, you might want to read this and think again. this is a well presented look at previous language and acts trump has used and tried. with his current state of "mind", the Project 2025 being activated along with the unified executive presidency, do you not think he might just try? not hyperbole, not fear mongering. simply a look at what the man has said and done along with what his handlers have in mind. read. learn. think. #voteharris #votewalz #voteblue https://lnkd.in/dVxbK8HV
