Compared to earlier this year, we've seen the new home market moderate. The majority of builders in Texas and Florida, for example, reported demand was slower than expected in May, and that has carried on into June so far. This change corresponds with rising resale inventory levels in these states. Is this normal seasonality, or are we at an inflection point? With the higher interest rates we are not experiencing the traditional summer buying season in existing or new homes in Texas. We are likely still doing better than some of the other regions in the country. We continues to see population growth and companies moving into Texas.

Good news for all the buyers out there. The supply of homes for sale has grown significantly this year. There are 36.6% more homes actively for sale compared to 2023. This means more options for you.
