New research has claimed that middle-aged people are now more likely to be financially vulnerable than pensioners. It comes as an estimated 90,000 additional Scottish households are set to fall below subsistence this winter. The chief executive of the Scotch Whisky Association has declared that the forthcoming budget will be the first big test of the UK Government's commitment to the industry. Mark Kent's.
