Are your prices right? One of the most common things that are keeping my clients limited is fear of charging more. I can’t charge more because…. “I will lose clients” “Others in my industry don’t charge that” “People will think I’m gready” Etc. But just remember…. Nobody ever questions why Louis Vuitton (other premium brands are available) charges premium rates, they just know they do! And equally Louis Vuitton never justifies why they do! Every time you buy luxury consumer goods, you become poorer and somebody else becomes richer. Consider this Louis Vuitton Bag - which would have set you back around $1990 in 2014 I had a check on Facebook marketplace and found the same for sale at $950 (reduced!) If you'd have invested that $1990 in LVMH (Louis' parent company) you could be sitting on a nearly $10,000 pile of cash. What is the first thing that springs to mind when you think of Louis Vuitton? Is it wealth? status? fame? Perhaps it's an image of Kimmy K or Mariah Carey, wheeling a mountain of overpriced luggage across the tarmac in Monaco But you would do well to remember it is the "prestige" and "wealth" of the WEARER you are seeing. Billions of dollars are poured into marketing campaigns, celebrity endorsements and product placement deals in an effort to associate these items with wealth, status and fame When in fact They are little more than a vehicle for wealth transfer to the investor class Unless you are a multi millionaire; luxury brands are not a symbol of wealth, they are a symbol of poor financial literacy. In this photo, you see two men with a combined net worth of $355 billion. Neither of them is wearing designer items or a Rolex watch, even though they could easily buy the entire Rolex company many times over. There's no Louis Vuitton in sight, though they could acquire the entire brand for less than 10% of their wealth. Experts have analyzed their clothes and found them to be ordinary items you could buy at Walmart. Let this photo impart some wisdom: purchase what you need, not what makes you look rich. Gucci or Louis Vuitton doesn't impress me. Most people think: - Clothes with high brand tags. - Exclusive memberships. - Expensive watches. - Their branded cars. - Lavish vacations. Impresses people. But for me, it's different. I'm not impressed by these things. I admire: -> Acts of integrity -> People's humility -> Genuine conversations -> Hard work and dedication -> Their willingness to help others -> The way they show their kindness Many people live to show off their lifestyle, so they never really become truly wealthy. But some are genuinely wealthy; they buy things they need, not to impress others. Strive to be like them. Focus on being genuinely wealthy by choosing what you need, not what others think you should have. Authentic Brands Group is closing brick and mortar shops as well as cutting over 200 jobs. This is not surprising. The brand has been suffering since 2015. The circle of elites who pay the rent on Bond Street have not seen Ted Baker make more effort than their polyurethane bags, that look like party favours from the Trumps'. Their other goods are so generic and copied that even H&M seems to have more original thought. The Middle East is a breeding ground for fakes. Grade A fakes, right down to Grade 'I have no money but need to feel a semblance of better self actualisation'. This should tell you a lot about where consumers are spending their money. Ted Baker and the plastic tote are over and out. Consumers are much more frugal with their trust funds than before. Even the middle-class who buy Gucci to feel like the chosen people, have zipped their entitlement for food, and maybe some door dash.

Yesterday, as my wife and I stumbled upon her once pristine Louis Vuitton handbag now covered in mold, it served as a rude awakening to who we were and who we now are. It's a tangible symbol of our past pursuit of wealth and status, a stark reminder of our once materialistic way of life. In this moment, we realise that our priorities have shifted. This symbolic image reminds us that no longer are materialistic things the measure of our worth. Instead, we yearn to make a difference in the lives of others, to add value beyond our own circles. It's a transformative realisation that true fulfilment comes not from what we own, but from the impact we have on those around us. Today, as we navigate our journey with a newfound sense of purpose, we strive to prioritise empathy, kindness, and meaningful connections over material possessions. Our focus has shifted from accumulating wealth to enriching the lives of others, and it's a shift that brings us greater joy and fulfilment than we ever thought possible. Let this mold-covered handbag serve as a reminder to all of us: true wealth lies not in what we own, but in the positive impact we leave on the world and the lives we touch. Let's strive to make every day an opportunity to add value to others, for therein lies the true measure of success.

You are either buying something or selling something. The person that sells to millions of people, can make billions in cash. There are a lot of things we buy to signal status. This gentleman just became the richest man in the world. CEO of LVMH; A portfolio that reportedly includes Louis Vuitton, Moët & Chandon, Hennessy, TAG Heuer, Sephora, Bulgari, Christian Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, etc As we dey pop that champagne, he is smiling to the bank. Anyways, the biggest question for us as individuals, is what are we selling to make money. We are either selling goods to a customer or selling skills to an employer.
