Today I did an Instagram Live on the topic Plan B. So in the nitty gritty of negotiation theory is the term BATNA - best alternative to a negotiated agreement. This is way too long and complicated for my Norwegian dyslectic brain🤣🙄 I like to simplify the concept and say that this is my Plan B if this agreement falls through? You or the other guy says NO. Please note: YOU or the other guy says NO. Point being - your clarity around Plan B will give you both the confidence and knowledge when and where to say No. Helpful questions to ask yourself to map out Plan B: 1. Why do you need this deal? Why do you need this service or product? 2. Why do you need it NOW? 3. How can your needs be met outside of this potential deal? Who else can give you what you need? Most important - tame any desperation and don’t be afraid to say no or receive a No🤩💪🏻 #femaleleadership #savvybuisnesswoman
