Happy July! 🎉 As we kick off the 7th month and a pivotal time for FY24, let’s channel the excitement from our Indian cricket team's thrilling T20 victories into our own success stories. Sometimes, a quick refresher can be a game-changer. I recently revisited an inspiring 8-minute video, "The 4 Disciplines of Execution" by C. McChesney, S. Covey, and J. Huling. Here’s the essence: The biggest hurdle to achieving new goals is the "whirlwind"—those daily tasks and urgent demands that consume our energy and focus. To break free and succeed, we need discipline and a clear framework, like the 4 Disciplines of Execution (#4DX): 1. Focus on the #WIG (Wildly Important Goal): Keep your current operations steady while pushing forward one crucial goal. Ask yourself, what one achievement would make other tasks seem secondary? 2. Measure #Lead Behaviors: Track daily actions (lead measures) that drive results (lag measures). This keeps execution consistent and engaging by focusing on immediate, controllable activities. 3.Put up a Scoreboard: Create a visible, simple scoreboard to track progress. This maintains focus and motivation by showing whether you’re winning at a glance. 4.Schedule Weekly Accountability Talks: Hold regular, peer-level meetings to review progress, discuss actions taken, and set commitments for the next week. This reinforces accountability and commitment to the goal.
