International’s Post

"They hired people with different backgrounds: A guy who used to make airplane propellers, a body shop guy. I had a fine arts degree focusing on sculpture and drawing. Working at International was like four years of graduate school in industrial arts. The temperament of everyone was appreciative of the creative process and challenges."         --- Art C., Industrial Designer (1971 – 1975)

That's an ACCO cab in the background. Australian C Line Cab Over! This may be the Dandenong (Australia) plant in the early development of the T Line/Atkinson cab. That basic cab design was produced from 1973 to 2019.

I once knew so many good people in the design department there ... Ted Ornas, Dick Hatch, Dale Cosper, Larry Nicklin, Larry Shinoda, and so many other marvelous talents passed through the doors there that it is so hard to keep track of them all. Ryan DuVall has done an excellent job of honoring their legacy.
