Run through the line. Why, at every sports day did our teacher have to remind us of this? It’s because our inner voice had other ideas. “That’s enough Luke, let’s get this heart rate back down. You can barely breathe!” It was obviously a moment warranting “flight” over “fight”. But if we’re being honest, how often does our mind tell us it’s actually time to fight? So how often are we flighting? It may be a longer conversation held over multiple days. “Come on Luke, let’s reduce the mental load. You haven’t stopped in weeks.” Yes, there’s a point to be made to trust our gut instinct and listen to our bodies. But is it your body telling you to stop? Or your inner voice? Is your mind controlling you? Or are you controlling your mind? By running through the line - you take back control. When everybody else is listening to their inner voice. slowing into the line to recover their breath. You run through the line. When everybody is in a 100m race. You’re in your own 110m race. Because you’re in control.

Some valuable perspective and points made by Taylor Knox in this short video. 👉 The mind is a powerful tool that can either propel you towards success or hold you back. 👉 Too often, people want things instantly but don’t necessarily want to spend the time to earn it. Greatness is dedication (mind). Greatness is being inspired (heart). 👉 Success is a continuous process that requires individuals to constantly improve and commit to personal growth 💡Check out the Psychology of Winning by Dr. Denis Waitley to learn more about the power of mindset, self belief, and resilience.
I am really proud of this piece we produced with legendary surfer and Vuori athlete Taylor Knox. It's a new perspective and look into Taylor's life beyond the incredible surfing....the investments he's made in his body, mind and spirit and how they have evolved over time with his Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and Kelee Meditation practices. Taylor is a true student of life, always following his curiosities to see where they lead and learning and growing every day. We are grateful to have the opportunity to share his story so I hope you enjoy. #therisetheshine

Host of "Return on Wellness" | Wellness Architect | Award Winning Keynote Speaker | 6x Fittest Male #EventProf
Monday sucked I did a workout I was not looking forward to and I knew it was going to be a tough slog. However, I knew I wanted to do the hard and I had committed to people to be there for them so we could do the workout together online. The ENITRE workout was 1 movement. So 100% of what I had to do was 100% of what I'm not great at and didn't want to do mostly because I know my form needs work. This workout was a metaphor for life. We all have to do hard things we don't want to do, in order to get better. For some, it's closing deals or selling. For others, it's public speaking or having difficult conversations with team members. It could even be reconciling a budget. The key is to show up for ourselves, even when it's hard. Give yourself the grace to try something new and be "bad" at it. Also, surround yourself with people who can help you see and identify your blind spots and then focus on them. We have to be willing to do the work, even if we're not great at it. That's how we get better. So, take on the hard things and show up for yourself. Hope to see you next week! https://lnkd.in/gQc4Um4t
