#faq While there are no specific physical signs that can definitively indicate autism, there may be certain features or characteristics that can be observed in some individuals on the autism spectrum. It’s important to note that these physical features are not present in all individuals with autism, and they vary greatly from person to person. Concerned About Autism? Let ASDF Help! 🧩💙 If you're worried that a child you know may have autism, early detection is key. ASDF offers valuable resources to assist you in this journey. 🌈✨ For children between 18-24 months, we recommend using the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT). You can access the M-CHAT and scoring guides below to help you gather important information about your child's development. 📝 If your child shows concerning signs, take action by seeking a referral for a full assessment from a multi-disciplinary team at a Children’s Hospital or an autism unit at a university near you. Early intervention can make all the difference! 💪 #ASDF #EarlyIntervention Download here: https://bit.ly/3SXLfOR Give Us A Hand By Making A Donation. 💻: https://bit.ly/3R6c0zz 📞: 877.806.0635 #ChildHealth #ParentingTips #ChildDevelopment #InclusiveEducation #AutismSupport #AutismAwareness #SpecialNeeds #AutismCommunity #AutismAdvocate #AutismResources #AutismCare #AutismTherapy #AutismEducation #AutismAssistance

Recognizing the early signs of autism is crucial for early intervention and support. Some common indicators in young children may include delayed speech and language development, limited eye contact, difficulty with social interactions, repetitive behaviors, and sensory sensitivities. Identifying these facial features of autism allows for timely diagnosis and access to appropriate interventions that can significantly improve long-term outcomes for autistic individuals. iPad for Kids Program: Breaking Barriers for Children with Autism The iPad for Kids Program has been a game-changer for children on the spectrum, finally breaking down the communication barriers that once existed. Thanks to its user-friendly interface and specialized apps for autism, children who previously struggled to express themselves can now put words and symbols together, even creating sentences with images. The program's mobility has also been a huge advantage. Through the generous donation of iPads to individuals and special education classrooms, the ASDF has helped countless nonverbal autistic children with communication and learning. Join us at Southernsbroadstock in supporting Autism Acceptance Week! This week is all about spreading awareness, sharing knowledge, and showing support for individuals with autism. Let's come together to create a more inclusive and understanding community. 🧩💙 You can help support the campaign, and ensure the National Autistic Society is always there to support autistic people and their families by sharing awareness or by making a donation - https://hubs.li/Q02rsDb70 “An understanding of Autism and an awareness of the challenges that individuals with Autism may face is incredibly important to everyone who can influence the built environment. When developing a scheme, we must ensure the space is inclusive and accessible to all. By understanding the disadvantages (and advantages) that a Neurodiverse condition, such as Autism, may bring, we can build a series of design principles that ensure everyone is welcome, supported by their surroundings, and is given the ability to succeed.” - Lee Hansford, Head of Creative Design. #AutismAcceptanceWeek #SupportAutismAwareness #InclusionMatters #Southernsbroadstock

Embracing acceptance acknowledges the uniqueness of both you and me, and that's what makes us both incredibly awesome. During Autism Acceptance Month, we are happy to highlight Variety - The Children's Charity of BC for funding private autism and psychoeducational assessments. They have helped 100s of children to access this government support by funding a private autism assessment. Here's a startling fact: In BC, a confirmed autism diagnosis for children under 6 years old unlocks a substantial $22,000 per year of government funding for essential therapies and resources. However, this funding plummets to a mere $6,000 after the child turns 6. Given the public health system's assessment wait time of 2 to 3 years, it's clear that immediate action is needed. That's why BC Children's Charity funds private autism assessments for children aged 4 and under, maximizing the benefits of early intervention. We are incredibly proud that the Mobile Giving Foundation Canada (MGFC) text-to-donate platform is used to raise funds for this incredible Canadian Charity. Text KIDS to 45678 to donate $25 to Variety - The Children's Charity of BC.
