Young Guns 22 is now open for entries! Regular deadline: July 11th. Last year’s Young Gun winner, Kajal, is a powerhouse of creativity, telling stories from her unique 5’2” perspective. As an award-winning director, photographer, writer, and overall creative, she’s known for evoking deep emotions with her vibrant, unapologetic style. Rooted in Brooklyn and first-generation values, Kajal’s biggest inspiration was her Dada (grandfather), who encouraged her to use her voice bravely and thoughtfully. In 2020, she created "Protecting Women of Color" featuring Megan Thee Stallion, which was published by The New York Times and won multiple awards. Think you’ve got what it takes? This I've written and played is a Story song. I haven't put lyrics to it because it is a background song to a digital story. This one I've written is called : The Queens Parade. Any song writers interest out there? This may help you create on a different topic level. Cartoon Animation, Gaming or Story songs are my fave, because of the complexity of its dynamic. It's a challenge, which I love, because it has to grab the imagination of the listener as the titled name or main character of the story, which is even better because the scale of notes should then express the emotions of the charactor or situations that the character is in, meaning the Story expressiin develops a vision. Blank Screen Stories are better for children because it helps the imagination into creativity. Always get a child to write & draw after listening to a black screened story, and watch how better it will be after the imagination has been captured and inspired. Ask them to draw one before the Story and them one after.

𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐭, 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭?! 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝟑: 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐥'𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧 With Deadpool and Wolverine smashing box office records, we're all excited to see which characters Marvel might bring to the big screen next. The recent movie was packed with fun cameos, even depicting a "Void" for unusable characters in the MCU. There's one character we hope stays in the Void: Asbestos Man! Debuting in 1963, Asbestos Man, aka Orson Kasloff, thought he could defeat the Human Torch with a suit made entirely of asbestos. Like, the entire character was just a scientist who really... really... utilized asbestos? But he had a net! And a shield...andddd that's about it. As Marvel's top chemist turned villain, he tried to earn the underworld's respect but ended up imprisoned. Marvel quickly realized the blunder and retired the character, leaving Asbestos Man as a quirky footnote in comic book history. This tale is a fun reminder of how much our understanding of safety has evolved. **UPDATE** Thanks to Sara Spino Vogelpohl, CIH we JUST learned there is ALSO an Asbestos Woman made BEFORE the Asbestos Man, from Marvel Comics! This one flew under our radar for years! Apparently, Victoria Murdock, aka Asbestos Lady, was also an enemy of the Human Torch. So they didn't do this weird concept once, but twice! Victoria Murdock first appeared in the 1940s as a criminal mastermind using asbestos-themed weaponry and armor to battle the Human Torch. She was determined to avenge her brother's death and saw asbestos as her tool for revenge. Instead of shields and a net , she used, uh...um..asbestos... bullets? The Marvel Void is getting real...real full... Just for fun, who do you think should be cast as the Asbestos Man or Asbestos Woman if they did make it into the MCU? Share your thoughts in the comments! #EnvironmentalSafety #HealthAndSafety #MarketingHistory #LessonsFromThePast #PublicHealth #AsbestosAwareness #ComicBookHistory #MarvelComics #AsbestosMan #Deadpool #Wolverine #MCU

Folks often compare working on feature films versus short films. Mostly it's the same. But during the pandemic I started to address these differences in my podcast once we couldn't do live shows anymore. Here's one of those episodes now out on YouTube talking about the difference coloring a feature film versus a short. #feature #short #color #postProduction
