Staring and unsolicited comments make fitness intimidating for many women in India. Gyms lack female coaches, and those who are present often train women the “male” way, ignoring their unique needs and preferences. Finding appropriate clothing is another major challenge. Covering up becomes a constant concern, and the high cost of supportive activewear increases the entry barrier for women wanting to pursue fitness seriously. Fitness for women in India isn’t just about performance—it’s about creating safe, inclusive spaces and affordable options that empower them to participate confidently and freely.
