While experimenting with generative AI in the early days, this was an enjoyable and fulfilling project that started in February 2023 when I asked Dall-E for images of pears decorated like Easter eggs. I then used those images to show an illustrator along with the concept to design stickers for kids to decorate egg shaped Anjou pears. So, I used Dall-E as an accessory in the development, but certainly not to replace a creative or put a designer out of work. Fun, satisfying and fulfilling project using a new tool for idea conception and moving it through the development stages and implementation.
We're excited to share a new way to decorate for Easter this year! https://lnkd.in/eEmq5R3s

One final “Christmas In July” post for churches… Christmas is a time when many of even the most forward-thinking people lean towards “old fashioned” traditions, music, decorations, and even food. It’s a normal human reaction to look back and remember meaningful times, places, events, and people. Long story short, don’t worry about going out of your way to be “innovative” this Christmas. I learned that one the hard way. One year, we had had enough of trying to make what we considered to be the “old guard” happy. We were going to do something different, by golly, so we came up with a look based on snow white modernistic vaguely-Christmas-tree-shaped decor pieces and created a striking set (and even custom ornaments based on the look). It was new. It was cool. It was different. It failed. People didn’t storm out, but it was clearly the least-liked set that we had created in my decade at the church. It wasn’t just old people, either - they were actually kinder with their comments than some of the younger ones. What happened? We had messed with something that people -regardless of age - didn’t want messed with. So don’t make my mistake. Invest time and effort to make Christmas services excellent, and use your creativity - while remembering that sometimes it makes more sense to paint within the frame you're given.

How to Easily #Declutter and Organize Holiday Decorations We love holiday decorations around our home. Finding the best way to organize and declutter them is another story. When we declutter the house, we forget the attic area since it is so infrequently used. But not this time. We will declutter the holiday decorations to make the space more user-friendly. Follow along to see how I decluttered my holiday decorations. Before attic space. The image below is just part of it. Since the artificial Christmas tree is still up, the bag would be in the area right in front of the gray box. Note: the right side of the attic is where I have Thanksgiving decorations. The first step is to go through all the bins in the attic. Since I had the holiday decorations out this season, I knew exactly what I loved and wanted to use again. Tartan Today. Tartans continue to be designed and registered with the relevant Scottish authorities, both by large corporations and by private individuals.
Clan tartans are fabric designs consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colors. Originally worn by Scottish and Irish Highland clans, each tartan pattern was associated with a particular clan. Today, clan tartans continue to represent connection to heritage and kinship among family lines. Some key details about the history and meanings behind clan tartans: Tartans are thought to have emerged as early as the 16th century as ways for Scotland's wealthy landowners to distinguish rank and social standing. Certain colors and patterns became specifically tied to individual family names. Over time, the associated tartans evolved into symbols of unity and pride for entire kinship groups. Even after the defeat of Scottish rebellions in the 18th century banned wearing tartan fabrics, clan patterns persisted symbolically and were revived as a cultural symbol in Victorian times. The main colors used in tartans tie to the natural l - amvhrrudic - https://flip.it/LIssFF
