Posting about farming, sustainability and teambuilding resilience systems. And helping organisations to build Natural Productivity by offering engaging learning programmes and retreats on our beautiful farm in England.
I am asked recently, "What are you selling?" I reply "It's about appreciation, it's about learning, it's about team development... It's all great!!" (This is in relation to our Corporate Away Days). "No!" - is the response. "What are you selling?" "I'm selling peace of mind, fun, excitement, joy... It's all great!!" "No!" - is the next response. "What exactly are you selling?" Suddenly, I get the point. It's all very well having far out ideas about what customers may receive and gain. But they genuinely want to know what they can buy. And with that in mind, I get the team together and clarify four away day areas that we do very well. Fishing and shooting days Wellbeing days Meeting and activity days Bushcraft and nature days. It was suggested that we call the fishing and shooting days "Cast and Blasts" because that is what they have always been called at Meon Springs. And the wellbeing days "Realise Wellbeing Days" because, more than just a day of stretching and breathing, they're about how individuals and teams can find wellbeing for themselves. The meeting and activity days - "Work, Play and Learn Days" because they allow teams to come and do some work, then have fun with an activity - could be shooting, art, yoga, bushcraft, a learning workshop or more. And the bushcraft and nature days, "Outdoor Living Days" because it gives teams a chance to get together for just that - a day of Outdoor Living. So that's what we have done - And we have developed a new website to display them to the world. (Thank you Beth Meades) #whatareyouselling #teambuilding #meetings #corporateevents (link in comments).

✨ How Our Event Planners Unwind After a Busy Week ✨ After another packed week of planning and executing amazing events, we took a moment to catch up with our team to ask how they plan to de-stress and recharge over the weekend. Here’s how some of us will be practicing a bit of self-care: • Chelsea: "I go into a blanket cocoon with my favorite book and cook a comforting homemade meal. It’s my way of slowing down and enjoying some peace and quiet." • Sam: "A glass of red wine is my go-to for winding down after a busy week. It’s a simple pleasure that helps me relax." • Lindsay: "A good nap does wonders! It’s my favorite way to recharge and prepare for the week ahead." • Kayla: "Kickboxing! It’s a great stress reliever, and I always feel energized and refreshed afterward." • Sherai: "I listen to music, talk to my loved ones, and catch up on rest with a nap. It’s the perfect combination to reset and feel grounded again." Taking time to relax and reset is so important, especially in our fast-paced industry. As we head into the weekend, we’d love to know: How do you plan to unwind and recharge? 💆♀️🍷🥋 #WorkLifeBalance #EventPlanners #TeamCulture #StressRelief #WeekendVibes #SelfCare #MentalHealth #NoBoringEvents #SandboxEvents

Make Time For You - Podcast - FREE Group Talks - Pop-Up Wellness Festivals - Make Time For You @ Work
Are you consistently ending up at the bottom of your own priority list? It's so easily done when you care about other people and you are passionate about the things you do. We have some very simple new year's resolutions for you - helping you make small changes for your well-being at work: 👉 1. Drink more water When we sit at our desks all day it is easy to get sucked into work and forget about hydration. We may get up for the occasional coffee, but at the end of the day we often realise that we hardly had anything to drink. Keeping yourself hydrated is important for your body to function properly and for your brain to be alert. Here are some ideas on how you can make sure you drink enough: - Have a filled water bottle on your desk as a reminder and make sure it is empty by the end of the day - put a post it note on your screen or somewhere else visible to remind yourself - set a reminder on your phone - have a glass of water every time you boil the kettle for a cuppa - It doesn't just have to be water - if you prefer something with flavour you can drink squash, cold or hot herbal teas, or put some mint or fruit in your water bottle 👉 2. Get up and move 'Sitting disease' is a real thing! Not moving can be worse than not having an exercise routine, we are meant to move our bodies and they feel the consequences of sitting down all day (back pain or tight hamstrings anyone?). Try these: - set a timer to get up at least once an hour - do some simple stretches (we will share some in our next newsletter) - get a kneeling chair or a bouncy ball to sit on - book in short breaks to walk around the block or even the office - have a dance break to your favourite tune 👉 3. Put something nice on your desk Something that makes you smile e.g. a photo of a loved one, a lovely smelling candle, a bunch of flowers, a pretty object that you like. It can really brighten your day! We'd love you to share your little well-being tips with us - let us know what helps you feel better at work! #sevenoaksbusiness #localbusiness #coworkingspace #workingfromanywhere #workingenvironment #officetorent #helpsuites #coworking #modernoffices #network #supportlocal #kentcoworking #kentnetworking #officemanagement #flexibleworking

Ever felt the buzz after swapping screen glare for the soft, dappled light of a forest? That's the magic of forest bathing—no tub required, just a willingness to immerse yourself in nature's calm. It's about letting the forest vibes wash over you, leaving you refreshed and recharged. And guess what? It's not just a cool weekend idea; it's a game-changer for corporate retreats too. Imagine this: your next team meeting isn't in a stuffy conference room, but somewhere where the air is fresh, the views are Instagram-worthy, and the only agenda is to unwind and connect. Because let's face it, we could all use a bit more green in our workdays. Here's how to make your corporate retreat a hit with a side of wellness: - Mix in mindfulness and chill vibes with activities like guided nature walks - Dive into forest bathing by giving everyone some time to just be with the trees—no talking, just walking, and soaking in the peace. - Keep the schedule loose; the aim is to come back feeling inspired, not like you've just sprinted through a marathon of activities. Have you ever had a retreat that felt more like a breath of fresh air than a box-checking exercise? Drop your stories below. Let's inspire each other to bring a little more nature into our work lives. #NatureLovers #CorporateRetreats #ForestBathing #TeamWellness

Helping event planners deliver sensational experiences by championing the audience experience as their charismatic and unflappable Emcee | Event Host | Moderator | Media & Speaker Training | In-Person & Digital
I always look at an event as a ‘happening’ where we can have a mixture of positive and negative experiences, but wouldn't it be better if it was all positive? So many people, myself included, go home feeling worn out at the end of a large bustling multi-day event. It's because we've been overstimulated. So what can we do to reduce the stimulus overload for our attendees? First of all we need more breaks and longer ones! Oh and a nice place to go to during them. So find out where there are green spaces near by and signpost this to attendees so that in breaks there is time to find food, queue for it, and then sit in peace for a bit if they need to, with a pleasant view. Set up quiet calm places to go when it all gets too much. Really important for people with a neurodiversity, but also great for anyone who needs to replenish their energy. I’d suggest bringing the outside into your event too by adding green spaces and reducing blue light in your venue. Light, sound and smell can have a huge impact on our mood so consider that. As an emcee I see event sessions on mental health and reducing stress are popular, so why not go one step further, and put some yoga or meditation sessions in the actual agenda. Finally instead of freebies like a pen or a key ring, why not give them a fidget toy, like a stress ball or a wellness tool? Noise cancelling headphones would be good although maybe a pricey. But they’d certainly be more sustainable than a lot of the crap that gets handed out at events. And you hit inclusivity and sustainability goals in one. A double whammy eh?! #inclusivity #events #emcee #sustainability #mentalhealth #energy

🌿 Taking a moment for yourself is not just a luxury, it's a necessity. Excited to share a local event that's all about embracing self-care and community! 🎨 On January 27, 2024, join fellow New Port Richey residents and visitors at Coastal Creations for "Self-Care Saturday," a special event dedicated to the art of unwinding and tapping into your creative side. 🍵 The day begins with insights on the benefits of herbs and teas from Kelly Hackman of the White Heron Tea Room, followed by an art class where you can let your imagination flow onto coffee mugs – a keepsake to remind you of the importance of self-care. 🤝 It's more than just an event; it's an opportunity to connect with others who value personal well-being, share stories, and encourage each other on the path to wellness. 👗 Come prepared to get a little messy (creative endeavors can be beautifully unpredictable) and don't forget to bring your favorite snacks and drinks to keep the energy flowing. 💡 Remember, self-care isn't selfish; it's about replenishing your spirit to be your best self for you and those around you. If you're near New Port Richey, FL, and self-care is what you seek, Self-Care Saturday is where you'll want to be. ✨ Limited spaces, RSVP required. To secure your spot for a day of relaxation, personal growth, and creativity, contact the organizers at the provided number. And remember, a 48-hour notice is necessary for refund consideration. 📅 Mark your calendar, and let's make self-care a priority together at this inspiring event! #SelfCare #ArtTherapy #CommunityEvent #NewPortRichey #Wellness #Creativity #Relaxation #PersonalGrowth #Networking #Mindfulness #InvestInYourself https://ayr.app/l/Goqa

Everyone is quite literally RUNNING away from their problems and building communities doing so. 🏃♂️ This year's London Marathon received a world record of 840,000 applications !!!!!! Not to mention the incessant rise of run clubs nation-wide. 🤰 Mum clubs and apps like the Peanut App are soaring 🧘♀️ Yoga and pilates studios are FULL 🚶♀️ How many walking clubs and challenges have you seen in the past week? Why? Because we are broke, we are lonely and we are craving human interactions. More than ever before, it's important for brands to focus on building genuine connections with their customers. People are seeking out *affordable* ways to reconnect with others and form meaningful relationships. Brands have a unique opportunity to fill that gap by creating experiences that bring people together and encourage a sense of belonging. How? ✨ Create Community-Focused Experiences: Offer consumers not just a great product or service, but also a free community to be part of. Whether it's an online forum, a local meet-up, or a collaborative event, these spaces can provide the human connection people are seeking. ✨ Partner with Existing Groups: By collaborating with existing clubs and communities, brands can tap into networks where people already feel a sense of belonging --> consumers get valuable experiences, and brands gain loyal followers. ✨ Build Lasting Relationships: In tough economic times, people look for brands they can trust. By creating authentic connections and supporting community-building initiatives, brands can foster loyalty that goes beyond a single purchase. ✨ Focus on Shared Values: Consumers are more likely to engage with brands that align with their values. By promoting community, connection, and inclusivity, brands can create a space where people feel seen and heard. ✨ Deliver Real Value: In a cost of living crisis, every purchase matters. Brands that offer genuine value—and a sense of community—will stand out from the competition. The brands that thrive during challenging times are those that understand it's not just about the products, but about the people. By building a strategy that combines great products with a focus on community, brands can create lasting relationships that benefit everyone involved. A strong community will ALWAYS lead to lasting loyalty. On that note, Happy Friday 🫶🏽
