Some things are too important to be left unsaid. Today, with @Kate Wadsworth, I've written an open letter to Bridget Phillipson, the Secretary of State for Education. I urge anyone who is passionate about the next generation to read it. Many educators will relate to the content of this letter, but this message is for everyone who cares about the future of our country—regardless of your job, age, or whether or not you have children. This is a time of hope and possibility. By listening to each other, collaborating, and uniting behind a common cause, we can create transformative change….at a time of exponential change. Together we can all be a force for good. If this letter resonates with you, please share this post and help spread the message. 🙏 #FutureGenerations #FutureThinkingLearning #TransformativeChange #ForceForGood

🚨 Big Announcement! 🚨 After months of hard work, I’m proud to announce the completion of our 200+ page platform, titled The NOLA Prosperity and Cultural Preservation Plan—a comprehensive vision for the future of New Orleans. This plan isn’t just about making promises, it’s about real solutions that focus on prosperity and preserving our unique culture for generations to come. Our plan is built around 4 key pillars: 1️⃣ Education and Teacher Reform: We will revitalize our public neighborhood schools, support our teachers, and invest in trade programs that will equip our students with the skills they need to succeed. 2️⃣ Crime and Anti-Corruption Reform: It’s time to clean up City Hall and restore trust in our local government by targeting corruption and ensuring public safety for all. 3️⃣ Mental and Medical Healthcare Reform: We’re committed to expanding access to mental health services, ensuring every New Orleanian has the care they deserve. We’re also pushing for a state-of-the-art behavioral health hospital to support those in crisis. 4️⃣ Job Creation and Infrastructure Development: From fixing our broken streets to creating 41,000 sustainable jobs, we are laying the foundation for a stronger, more resilient economy. This platform represents a historic movement for New Orleans—a city that deserves real leadership and a plan that doesn’t just talk about change but makes it happen. Let’s make history together. Join me as we work toward a New Orleans that is prosperous, just, and culturally vibrant! #nola #neworleans #twiggsformayor #nolalife #hope

1moPeople's Concern should be shut down immediately. They are incapable of doing the basic job of providing services - often making life much worse for their clients. Your goal as a non-profit is to END homelessness, not grow your INCOMPETENT staff to a ridiculous number AND STILL NOT PROVIDE HOUSING. One of your employees, Evelyn has caused a client to remain homeless for months & now the client has nothing. Her apartment did not pass inspection, cannot move into it and has been told by Evelyn that there's nothing to be done and that she wont be considered for another apartment and then had her sign a document acknowledging that Evelyn was no longer her housing navigator. Every single one of you should be fired and your organization closed. YOU ARE USELESS AND HARMFUL.
