If you're busy in Q4 renewals, read this: Not all enrollments are the same, why would you treat them as such? In this case, a large home health company who is never all together. How did we communicate a lesson on the new offerings to this mostly young crowd? How about a brief Youtube video explaining the coverages and how to enroll. Words from the Broker "That was a nice Youtube video! I liked that you used both your voice and added the subtitles highlighting the importance of each coverage." What are your enrollment firms doing for you?

Here are the results of our latest trial- we'll look at a proportionate sampling of charts for your agency. We have volume pricing to account for agency size (our costs do not go lower with volume, unfortunately). Star Ratings don't tell the whole story, but we find a correlation with star ratings and reimbursement. We still find reimbursement, but amounts are usually a little lower with higher star ratings. Lower star ratings usually mean higher reimbursement being left on the table- usually. Summary: 5 Star Agency in California Sample Size: 10 Charts Total Reimbursement Left on the table: $3,183.45 mix of Previously coded SOC, ROC, Recert, and OASIS scrubbed but uncoded SOC Average gain: $318.34 per chart ROI: 530% Monthly Gain (assumption of 100 admits/OASIS per month) $31,834.50 Monthly Bill: $6000 (volume discounts available) Monthly Profit $25,834.50 Annual Gain: $382,014 Annual Profit $310,014 Annual Bill: $72,000 Clinical Details: We found additional reimbursement on 5 of 10 charts. Many SOC were Maxed out on OASIS so no dollars were available to be gained. Chart Recap: We found a lot of codes that shouldn't have been coded but were, and many that should have been coded but weren't. The OASIS and coding work together, and that brings accuracy. There is a lot of discussion on cost management. There is a lot of push for AI. There is a massive focus on offshore outsourcing. These are trends we're seeing and not ignoring. Offshoring, the middle man is getting rich. We know how much is being paid for offshore labor- our margins would be a lot higher than they are now. But we're not comfortable with the quality. AI is useful, but hasn't developed the ability to make clinical judgement calls, read context, and experience into the decision making process.....yet. We've had discussions with AI powered providers that haven't cracked the AI coding nut. We're seeing about 35% accuracy on our internal AI work- which is in line with what we've seen with others. Shocking news - government spends $24m on over complicated white elephant. Private industry competitor literally just calls practices and lists the fees….. The $250/month stuff is click bait and how they are monetising but what they’ve really done is scraped for listings, called the clinics and asked for the initial consult prices and written a directory. ““We supplemented that by calling practices ourselves and asking about the initial consultation, the cost and wait times for a non-urgent case…..A lot of them were just giving it away over the phone.” Is there a take away from all this? Not really - government spending obscene amounts on over complicated populist response rather than looking at why gap fees exist and considering how our health system can work better?
