Storytelling to Humanize Those Impacted by Incarceration| Dream.Org Intern| Communications Organizer| Prison Abolitionist Storyteller| Looking for Full Time Roles
The system was never broken. It was built to kill black brown and low wealth people. Can’t just aim to reform this structure to where we want it. Sure we can reform it to better the circumstances of those inside, but reform shouldn’t be our goal. Abolition is the only goal that makes any sense. We have to first create the systems in our community to keep our people well and safe. Once we do that, abolition becomes the apparent answer. Until then, we have to keep building. We can’t keep letting people be killed and dehumanized by this structure regardless of if they were found innocent or not.

civil discourse.. an apt title but could be considered a title of irony in this day and time. when verifiable objective facts are presented and yet denied due to non-fact based opinion and events being presented one supposes under the rubric of "alternative facts", how does effective productive discourse take place? once upon a time, in the not so distant past, facts were accepted and agreed. discussions were held, albeit with some definite disagreements, on what to do about the issues but holding to the objective verifiable facts. this is the basis of negotiation, in government, business, families, and groups of any sort. unless we can come away from hyperbolic headlines and commentary, we are headed for disaster. the adage "divide and conquer" will be fulfilled. https://lnkd.in/dR7N45sT

Excellent policy suggestions to invigorate the industry! Extending maturing loans and boosting credit flow are crucial for financial stability and growth. Easing regulatory barriers to new housing developments will certainly address urgent housing needs. Additionally, supporting property conversions can optimize real estate use and meet changing demands.
