In recent times, a strange trend has emerged as over 50% of women choose solitude over conventional commitments. This choice reflects a deeper societal transformation rather than a simple gender dynamic. Among women aged 25 to 49, the primary obstacle to marriage often revolves around finding a suitable partner with sufficient financial stability. This challenge underscores the importance of financial resources in marital decisions and family planning. https://lnkd.in/dyaeRNsp

I’ve talked to so many women from my generation who have difficult relationships with their mothers—relationships filled with jealousy, competition, and a sense of entitlement. Why does it seem like some mothers don’t want their daughters to thrive? Instead of lifting them up, they pull them down. It’s heartbreaking. We deserve love, support, and healthy boundaries. Let’s break this toxic cycle and build better connections. #MotherDaughterHealing #BreakTheCycle #ToxicRelationships #GenerationalHealing #SelfWorth #HealthyBoundaries #LoveAndGrowth

🌟💖 Embrace Empowerment and Sisterhood 💖🌟 Ladies, let's talk about the beauty and strength that comes from supporting one another! In a world where sisterhood should be our greatest asset, let's leave behind the playground antics and rise together. 🤝✨ 🚫🤷♀️ Unfortunately, some girls and women learn bad habits at a young age. Do not carry this attitude into adulthood. Playground antics undermine the incredible power we possess when we unite. Instead of tearing each other down, let's build bridges, uplift spirits, and celebrate the achievements of our fellow women. 🌈💪 👭💕 Supporting women isn't just about solidarity; it's a revolutionary act that breaks stereotypes, shatters glass ceilings, and paves the way for a future where every woman can thrive. When we stand together, there's nothing we cannot conquer! We are stronger together. So, let's choose kindness over competition, collaboration over comparison, and love over rivalry. 💖✨ #WomenSupportingWomen #UnityOverJealousy #EmpowerNotCompete #WomeninLaw

As we celebrate International Women's Day, I want to reflect on the labels and stereotypes that shape our identities as women and mothers. Among these labels, the term "single mum" stands out to me personally, it is one that often carries unintended implications about our worth and capabilities as parents. Why are we labelled "single mums" when our parental journey is not defined by our relationship status? This International Women's Day, I want to challenge the notion that our value as mothers is conditional on our marital or relationship status. Let’s embrace the term "lone parent." This would far better capture our journey—standing strong and resilient, shouldering the responsibilities of parenthood independently. Whether we're separated, divorced, widowed, or choosing to raise our children solo from the start, our status as lone parents speaks volumes about our strength and determination. I find the idea that finding a partner automatically disqualifies us from the space of lone parenting is misguided. Even if we were to find a partner, it doesn't diminish the fact that we have sole responsibility for our child. As lone parents, we are the primary caregivers, decision-makers, and the main source of support in our children's lives. So, on this International Women's Day, let's reclaim our identity, celebrate our resilience, and rewrite the narrative on parenthood. We are not defined by our relationship status; we are defined by the love, dedication, and sacrifices we make for our children every single day. #LoneParent #InternationalWomensDay #ParentingJourney #Resilience #Strength #Parenthood #RedefiningLabels

What does it take to be visible and powerful as an older woman? We can claim our power, own our sexuality, and both radically define and accept our appearance. We can push back on our own internalized gendered ageism, countering ageist self-talk with positive messages. We can each intentionally build a public persona that serves us. We can give ourselves permission to claim our passions and our creativity. #CronePower #LateBloomers #AgeWell #AgePowerfully #RenegadeWomen https://lnkd.in/etyvUkr2

Why is it important for women to gather in sisterhood? Knowing that other women are there to support you and have your back helps you confidently step into your own power, empowering you to lead your life and career with strength and resilience. Remember, empowerment begins with empathy! #CareerDr #ConversationsWithTheCareerDoctor #Sisterhood

Women can have it all...until we can't do it all and burn out. The binary division of labor roles as it relates to caregiving and parenting undermines everyone. Until men care -- and until we let them and empower them in it -- nothing fundamental shifts. We're still competing with each other in the same system. Women's real empowerment calls for empowering men in caregiving and emotional labor: sharing the load and building systems, support structures, and incentives that enable that so those who chose to do so, can. This requires a shift in identity as culturally defined and it calls for a deconstruction of maternal gatekeeping that undermines all. How? We don't know the answers but it starts by talking about it and including such conversations in programs like Women's History Month and #IWD. Here, that's what Michael Ray and Lucy Nicholls do. #makesexismhistory #fatherhood #humanrights #historyvherstory

Recently had a fantastic conversation with Lucy around the need to reframe the narrative around caring and gender equality to finally achieve the structural and systematic changes needed to advance a truly contemporary EQUAL society. As always, would love to know your thoughts. And if we're not already connected, let's fix that. 🙏😊 #parenting #gender #humanresources #mentalhealth
