To clean, or not to clean? In some cases, it may be necessary to clean an old brick wall to remove graffiti or inappropriate paint finishes. But unnecessary cleaning could damage the brickwork and do more harm than good. Abrasive techniques often damage the surfaces of bricks, leaving the softer inner parts vulnerable to decay. And water-based methods can cause unsightly efflorescence (white deposits) or dampness penetration. Not ideal! If you think a clean is necessary, we’d recommend consulting with a specialist and conducting an on-site trial. 📐 Architectural Feature: Pyramidal Diffusers 🎶 We install Pyramidal diffusers on the ceilings of many projects due to their function and aesthetic. These pyramid-shaped diffusers quickly eliminate floor-to-ceiling standing waves, reduce flutter echo, and maintain a warm, balanced room sound. With four unique angles of reflection, they’re a game-changer for acoustics! We recently highlighted this overall project from Daniel Jones Elementary in Prosper, TX (link below), but it’s worth pointing out this particular feature to appreciate how design and function come together to enhance the space.
