DEI, EDI, ACB, FAIR, or JEDI... regardless of what you call it, will always be needed in workplaces. > To prevent sexual harassment & discrimination > To ensure your target customers can access your organization > To ensure your employees are treated fairly > To retain your employees and not create a revolving door of knowledge and skills > To create safe (physical and psychological) environments where everyone is comfortable to share innovative ideas and be creative > To ensure your market competitiveness > To understand, manage and prevent employee/customer/leader disputes > To "future-proof" your organization, to ensure it is prepared for the rapidly diversifying world and economy. Just a few reasons that will stand the test of time. This field of work has been around for over 60+ years and has existed under a variety of banners, this is no different. #DEI #EDI #HR #Talent #HumanResources #FAIR #EquityDiversityInclusion #Inclusion #Belonging

Check out the latest clip from FundApps Soundbites to hear Andy’s insights. #Government #SocialEquality #Transformation #FinancialServices #BankingIndustry #Labour

🌍 Last week, the EU Commission President unveiled the much-anticipated Commissioner nominations, setting the agenda for the next five years. However, we are concerned about a significant shift: the Equality portfolio has been merged with Crisis Management and Preparedness. 🚨 This change raises alarm bells that equality issues may be overshadowed by urgent crisis responses. We fear that vital equality initiatives will be sidelined. 💬 Our Policy Officer, Farah Abdi outlined the issue. Farah said: “This shift shows a worrying disconnect between equality and key areas like democracy and justice, sidelining protections for LGBTI people, especially trans refugees, who face heightened risks to their fundamental rights. Without committing to a strong legislative push, the renewed LGBTIQ Equality Strategy risks further marginalisation at a critical time.” 💔 After reflecting on this disappointing news, we joined forces with other civil society organisations to issue an open letter. Together, we are advocating for equality to be prioritised alongside crisis management. 📣 We call on the Commission to ensure that equality is at the forefront of their agenda and that strong policies are developed to protect the most vulnerable people across Europe. 📖 Read the Open Letter on our website: https://lnkd.in/dBdeJHhj #TransRights #TransRightsAreHumanRights
