Here at theSkimm we talk a lot about the challenges we face as women. One big one: Child care – access to it, affording it, and everything in between. Because we’re all about transparency, we wanted to show you some of the child care benefits that we offer to our employees. 💪That’s not all. We’re also partnering with Moms First (formerly Marshall Plan for Moms) to encourage other companies – big and small – to #ShowUsYourChildCare on social media. ➡️ To learn more about the campaign, click here: https://skimmth.is/3CAynX8
Great transparency - I am interested to see the results of this campaign. Where can I find data from the results of this campaign? I am curious to see an industry-specific breakdown of benefits offered for both the #ShowUsYourChildCare campaign and the previous campaign, #ShowUsYourLeave. Thanks!
Way to go the skimm. Loved following #showusyourchildcare ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes this is a huge challenge! I’m currently job seeking and I’m not seeing any benefits related to dependent care accounts. Backup care is great but what about pretax or reimbursable care plans?
👏👏👏 this makes me and nollapelli like you all even more!! 🥰

1yThis is huge. One of the reasons I took a step into freelancing was because childcare essentially was almost my entire salary. It didn't make financial sense. My daughters are 20 and 21 now, and I hope this next generation gets to maintain their work/life balance more seamlessly. Mine ended up being a non-traditional career path, and I'm grateful for where I am, but at the time, the decisions were tough.
