I love seeing my designs and proposed solutions come to life! As a consultant/contractor, it's not always easy to follow the projects I've worked on once I move on. Though they seemed to resonate really well, I was unsure whether they were executed. How do agencies use design systems? I don't feel like it's sensible for us to start using high-fidelity components for every small client project we are having. All the best practices topics I have encountered on design systems are mostly catering to bigger organizations using one standard. But what if you have 20 different clients juggling at the same time? Should one feel bad about detaching components when there is no existing design system? Where do you draw the line?

Designers are not employees, they are partners if you are a client. ⚠ I run a design firm and interact with many people for their questions, demands, etc. I know what it costs to be a designer or an engineer. I understand we fail from both sides and sometimes it reflects in our profession too, but truly, we understand our position.
