During the weekend, I had the opportunity to visit The Waste Museum, Ibadan, Nigeria, a remarkable space where waste is ingeniously transformed into wealth. As an advocate for environmental sustainability, I was captivated by Jumoke Olowookere's insightful speech on how the museum's visionary concept was conceived. I was truly amazed by the creativity displayed in the artworks crafted from discarded materials and the museum's diverse collection of medicinal plants. It was a powerful reminder of how innovation can drive sustainability and change our perspective on waste.

Utilizing my 3-week break from the University of Ibadan to nurture my passion for farming! I spent 3 hours today on developing and restructuring my home garden, applying the valuable knowledge gained from Jumoke Olowookere at The Waste Museum, during my industrial training. Bridging the gap between theory and practical, one seed at a time! As I nurture my garden, I'm reminded of the importance of sustainable agriculture, food security, and innovation in farming. I am thrilled to share my incredible experience as an IT student at the Waste Museum in Moniya. In just under three weeks, I have been immersed in a whirlwind of learning and exposure, from exploring the home garden to gaining free access to various gardens and visiting other galleries and institutes. This week, our team embarked on an exciting project in Lagos. All thanks to the founder Jumoke Olowookere where we taught students how to explore and reduce the waste they generate. We focused on upcycling and waste reduction techniques, and seeing the students' enthusiasm was truly inspiring. Being part of the Waste Museum team has been an eye opening journey, filled with knowledge and fun.
