As part of Creativity Week, writer, director and Create Central Champion Steven Knight was in conversation with West Midlands Growth Company CEO Neil Rami, BBC Director, Across the UK, Tom Wrathmell, Shine TV Production Executive, Emma Riley and Create Central Chair, Ed Shedd Steven has announced that this week building work has started on creating the world-famous Garrison Tavern, favourite drinking spot of the Peaky Blinders, in #Digbeth for the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie. And to top it off, Emma Riley says “Recruitment is now underway for all roles on MasterChef - from runners all the way to senior production. Birmingham-based architects and WMGC commercial partner, Howells, has submitted plans for the transformation and restoration of the Grade-II listed Birmingham Botanical Gardens, home to the region’s finest and largest collection of over 10,000 botanic species. The Growing our Green Heritage project has been supported by a Stage 1 The National Lottery Heritage Fund Fund grant. The project will provide a low-carbon, sympathetic reinterpretation of the existing gardens and structure and will deliver a long-term sustainable future for the gardens.
