On the International Day to remember victims of terrorism, I pay tribute to the courage and resilience of victims as they ‘learn how to live again’. To rebuild their lives, victims also need comprehensive & sustained support from governments. My statement here: https://lnkd.in/gVBHR3Y3

As we reflect on the terrible 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Centre, Pentagon and Shanksville 23 years later, we pray for peace - not only for all the affected families, but also around the world. That day saw 2,977 innocent deaths as a result, 343 of which were brave firefighters selflessly helping others. Instead of sharing images of terrorism today we choose to share images of Ground Zero, a place of reflection, remembrance and hope. #worldtradecentre #remembrance #perspective

"Remembering the Heroes: Honoring the 40 CRPF Personnel who sacrificed their lives in the Pulwama Attack" On this day, five years ago, our nation was devastated by the heart-wrenching Pulwama Attack. A cowardly act of terrorism that took the lives of 40 brave CRPF personnel, leaving a lasting impact on our collective consciousness. Today, we pay tribute to these heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their selflessness and unwavering commitment to protect our nation will forever be etched in our hearts. They exemplified the true spirit of patriotism and stood as a symbol of bravery and resilience. As we observe this solemn anniversary, let us remember the families who lost their loved ones. Their grief is immeasurable, but their strength and determination inspire us all. It is our duty as a nation to support and stand by them, ensuring that their sacrifice is never forgotten. Let this day serve as a reminder that we must remain united in the face of adversity. Terrorism knows no boundaries or borders; it threatens the very fabric of humanity. It is our collective responsibility to stand against this menace and work towards a safer and more peaceful world. Join me in paying homage to the fallen heroes of the Pulwama Attack. Let their sacrifice ignite a renewed determination within us to build a society that values peace, unity, and respect. Together, we can create a world where such atrocities are no longer a reality. #PulwamaAttack #NeverForget #TributeToOurHeroes #Bravehearts #SaluteToTheMartyrs #UnityAgainstTerrorism

Employee Benefits Consultant - Helping business leaders transform employee benefits from a financial risk to a strategic advantage.
September 11, 2001 For those of us who are old enough (I'm certainly in that camp), we will never forget where we were as the events of that day unfolded. Please take some time at 8:46a.m. today to pause, remember and to pray for those still affected by the horrors of that day. The effects of that horrible day live on not only in our memories but in the 10's of thousands of people who are still being impacted today. Families and friends who lost loved ones, those who experienced the event and lived through it and the thousands of first responders who have died or are actively dealing with health issues related to the toxic chemicals they were exposed to the day of and days following the tragedy. From the 9/11 memorial: “9/11” is shorthand for four coordinated terrorist attacks carried out by al-Qaeda, an Islamist extremist group, that occurred on the morning of September 11, 2001. Nineteen terrorists from al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial airplanes, deliberately crashing two of the planes into the upper floors of the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center complex and a third plane into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. The Twin Towers ultimately collapsed because of the damage sustained from the impacts and the resulting fires. After learning about the other attacks, passengers on the fourth hijacked plane, Flight 93, fought back, and the plane was crashed into an empty field in western Pennsylvania about 20 minutes by air from Washington, D.C. The attacks killed 2,977 people from 90 nations: 2,753 people were killed in New York; 184 people were killed at the Pentagon; and 40 people were killed on Flight 93. #alwaysremember #September11

MASS TERROR ATTACK ON LEBANON... Scott Ritter, former United States Marine Corps intelligence officer, former United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM) weapons inspector: "Israel has had a long history of using personal electronics as a means of assassination... Lebanon was something completely different. This is where Israel infected Society with devices that Society is conditioned to bring in as part of normal everyday operations: pagers, handheld radio walkie-talkies etc and then detonated them at the same time in an indiscriminate fashion. They had no idea who was on the receiving end. They could make assumptions that because these were brought, procured by Hezbollah procurement agent for the purpose of enabling communication between political and military components Hezbollah that there's a good chance a Hezbollah operative be on, but it's not guaranteed. What if the device was on the counter and the wife heard it and picked it up? What if a child picked it up? What if the husband had it on his hip next to the child? This is an indiscriminate Act of Terror that's what it is. It's a war crime in the extreme. No American CIA director would ever approve an operation like this. No American president would sign off on this. Nobody in the United States would touch this because it is by definition an act of Terror, a war crime." Judge Andrew Napolitano: "They didn't care if these people were in Hospital emergency rooms or Universities or Mosques or where they might be with their children in Schools. They didn't care where they were when these devices went off." Volker Türk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights : "These attacks represent a new development in Warfare where communication tools become weapons, simultaneously exploding across marketplaces, on street corners, and in homes as daily life unfolds. Authorities have reportedly dismantled unexploded devices in Universities, Banks and Hospitals. This has unleashed widespread fear, panic, and and horror among people in Lebanon already suffering in an increasingly volatile situation since October 2023, and crumbling under a severe and long-standing economic crisis. This cannot be the new normal." "It is a war crime to commit violence intended to spread Terror among civilians. I call again for an independent, thorough and transparent investigation into the circumstances of these explosions. Those who ordered and carried out these attacks must be held to account." https://lnkd.in/eRUm5c-q

South Sudanese, the impact of trauma is real, manifesting in heightened sensitivity to sounds like gunfire. In Juba, armed criminals create challenges for our security forces, leading to necessary responses involving the use of force. It's crucial to be mindful of our words and actions, avoiding exaggeration when sharing information publicly. Let's prioritize thoughtful communication in navigating these complex situations so that we don’t cause alarm or concern. #SouthSudan #TraumaAwareness

The leaders of Canada, Australia and New Zealand have issued a joint statement declaring: "We are gravely concerned by indications that Israel is planning a ground offensive into Rafah. A military operation into Rafah would be catastrophic. An immediate humanitarian ceasefire is urgently needed." Sorry my kind, pussy willow, "humanitarian" friends, but what is urgently needed is an immediate return of the Israeli hostages being held in Gaza without visitation from the Red Cross. This is - not "would be" - catastrophic. What is urgently needed is an immediate declaration that there will be no further rocket fire from Gaza at Israeli towns and cities. What is urgently needed is an immediate commitment that there will never again be another attack against Israeli civilians as occurred on October 7 (https://lnkd.in/eC6QT8Ve). C'est tout!

September 11th is a reminder of the lives we lost and the people who stepped up in the face of unimaginable tragedy. Thousands of innocent people died that day, but it also brought out the best in those who banded together to help. First responders charged into danger, everyday citizens became heroes, and our nation stood united. Today, let’s honor their memory by committing to something more. Let’s stand with our military and law enforcement , whose mission is clear—prevent terrorism from ever having the chance to strike again. We owe it to those who died, those who fought to save lives, and those who continue to protect our freedom. This isn’t just about remembrance. It’s about ensuring that something like 9/11 never happens again. For those too young to remember or who were born after the event that changed our world. Pay attention to what we learned. We thought it could never happen - and it did. We thought we were immune from an attack on our soil - and we weren’t. Let’s learn from history and not forget what it tells us. Let’s not let the deaths of our fellow Americans be forgotten. Let’s take the dangers of terrorism here seriously. Let’s provide the resources needed to protect our Country to those that protect us. And let’s never, ever, forget the sacrifices made. NEVER FORGET. #NeverForget #SupportOurTroops #HonorTheFallen #UnitedAgainstTerror #September11 #patriotday #remembering911

Today, we take a moment to reflect on one of the most pivotal moments in modern history - the 9/11 terrorist attacks. On this day, 20 years ago, thousands of innocent lives were lost, and countless more were forever changed. As we remember the victims, their families, and the first responders who risked everything to save others, we honor their memory by continuing to strive for a world where such tragedies are never repeated. The aftermath of 9/11 showed us the worst of humanity, but it also brought out the best. We saw strangers become heroes, communities come together, and a nation unite in the face of adversity. Take a moment today to pause, reflect, and remember the lives lost on 9/11. May their memory live on and may we continue to strive for a brighter future for generations to come. #NeverForget #September11 #Remembering911

"His attack plan involved using flame-covered weapons, explosives, knives, a machete, a pipe and ultimately firearms," the investigator added. "His plan grew more precise as he eventually identified the specific church and date on which he planned to attack." I can't help but ask myself, "what helped him identify the specific church"? Did it have something to do with the church being an easy target due to lack of security? Is your place of worship an easy target? Don't be any easy target for criminals or extremist! Faithful Defender Foundation was founded to help religious organizations address these very issues. If you are curious about how we can help your organization please reach out to us. https://lnkd.in/gmwfX8St
