My goodness, they just blew the whole thing
Achieving over $2 million in sales in just 12 hours on a TikTok live stream, breaking records around the world by selling two products every second—my 21-year-old self would be screaming. She wouldn't believe our future if I told her. I honestly believe my upbringing plays a big part in my determination to excel and kick down doors that were closed on me. As a woman-owned business with no outside investment—bootstrapped all the way—I can honestly say I am becoming the woman I would have looked up to. I'm making moves and decisions daily that I'm afraid of because when they work, it changes everything. It allows me to silence the doubt. I suppose, for me, risking is better than regretting. I've been at rock bottom and survived it. I'm not scared of going back there but am determined to never allow my family to be in that position again. I suppose that's my purpose, that's my “why.” Retiring my mum is the biggest achievement of my career—over any world record, over any monetary goal. My mum sees my brothers at every assembly and every sports day. I missed out on that, and they never will. My vision is clear: I want to continue to build Plouise and break the rules of beauty. Focusing on community over competition, focusing on giving back to children and parents while creating incredible makeup products that fund my purpose. I have so many more points to prove. I got told time and time again, "You can't do that," "The funds don't allow that," "The data doesn't show that," and here I am with stats that tell a different story. This moment right here took 10 years of endless sacrifice, setbacks, and losses. The 31st was driven by my determination to break history when the world didn't believe in me all those years ago. If you have a dream—chase it!
