STOP HATING HUMANS! We are debating the #rise of #AI (thanks Massimo Chiriatti for keeping me on my toes!). We are seeing #companies losing millions and still being treated as #unicorns (the misteries of #financial #economy, Giancarlo Turati?). We are over and over again fighting about #cultivated #meat and whether it's a constitutional right to call "#sausage" something that has no #animal #protein in it (spoiler: I don't give a damn _ we should be worried about a whole other set of things). In the meantime, the #diabetes and #obesity #epidemic is tackled by #ozempic, which is a lot easier than actually promoting a #different #lifestyle. We miss #belonging and #meaning and #tribe\community creation, but only a few people are actually putting their money where their mouth is (thinking of course about Miyoko Schinner). #Convenience is made king (and queen) by #inflation. According to recent polls, 50% of #young #people in #Europe below 30 years of age are declaring a #bleak #emotional outlook on #life (credits: Jérémy Roque, PhD). #Complex problems require #common #sense #solutions (right, Sara Baroni?). Tired of just traveling from stage to stage with my Hamletic monologues (which scared poor Beatriz Jacoste Lozano last year), I decided to promote #tangible #action. So here's a thing from ONE human to many humans. A place where #cultural #neuroscience can be #accessible to anyone wanting to use #data to change their #perspective on what food could be. We are just about to start and already a few #enlightened #partners have stepped forward and chosen to #join #forces with Thimus. One by one, we will announce #openings for House of Humans located in several #cities around the #Globe. Let's do real work for real products, with real humans in mind. We often see examples of Copilot and AI use in business scenarios, but imagine if it could help change the lives of people struggling with mental wellbeing. 🤯 2 weeks ago while at Microsoft Redmond a small group of us talked through an idea of using Copilot to help people discover their "sensory profile". A sensory profile is used by healthcare professionals to help people understand what causes their own unique high-stress situations to occur. With this awareness the individual can handle these situations more effectively. ❤️🩹 The team tagged in the post below (I was traveling and my contributions were limited) entered our Microsoft hackathon and built a working solution of "Sensory Copilot" in just a week! 😮 👉 Microsoft folk please click on the link in the post below to "like" (upvote) our solution so we get more awareness on this topic 🙏 👉 Everyone else, hopefully we get to show this app publicly someday 🙏

StoriesXFuture is Garage Stories newest series of inspirational days to learn, network, create, and share with like-minded people from different industries but with similar visions. #Why_ After 7 years running creative hacks, we are reversing the roles and sitting the corporates on the participants chair and the creatives and artists on stage to provide a new perspective into innovation, technology, economy and impact. #When and #what do I get_  The first event will take place Monday July 29th in a magic location in Williamsburg running from 10am to 8pm. The event includes cabaret-style talks (morning) and a hands-on session inspired by design futures and design fiction. Each participant will leave with a vision board, a lo-fi prototype, and a simple deck to convey both. There will also be plenty of opportunities for networking, surprises and magic. #More_  Each event will be focused on our areas of interest (sustainability, social justice, healthcare, etc), and during the session, we will use creativity and storytelling as tools to inspire, channel, and decode technological, social, and economic trends that are shaping our current reality and constantly creating newly available futures ahead of us. Participants (min 20 and max 50) will work in teams of 3 to 5 people together. I'm celebrating one year of my business, Kika Labs, existing! Thank you for being on the ride with me! One of my biggest takeaways is that it's easy to keep your eyes on where you want to be and not acknowledge how far you've already travelled. And as we progress, a lot of the important blocks of a worthwhile career and life are small bricks that may feel insignificant and are often invisible to the wider world but add up to true development. As 2023 wraps up, I'm pulling back the curtain to share the unseen journey of our studio. First, a clear stance: I don't advise starting a studio lightly. It's a complex, challenging path. We've grown significantly in 3 years, yet some questions still need to be answered. Our journey is marked by learnings and evolving strategies. 📸 Here's a snapshot: 🔭 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲: Now focused solely on the Future of Work. 🚀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹: Doubled from 2 to 4 each year. 👨🚀 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀-𝗶𝗻-𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Grew from 2 to 10 annually. 📆 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Reduced from 18 to 12 months. 🔍 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱: Slashed to 10 weeks. 🫰𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Earlier at launch instead of at seed. These metrics reflect an ever-evolving model. It's a journey filled with steep learning curves and candid reflections on my mistakes. Key lessons? Make decisions swiftly, invest with commitment, and focus on the promising, leaving the unviable behind. ✨💛 As we enter 2024, we wish everyone a year of health and success.
