Watching the final reviews of architecture students recently really got me thinking. The pressure to be perfect is overwhelming and it's taking a toll on their health and creativity. I believe we need to ease up on this perfectionism. If we allow more room for creativity and learning from mistakes, I think we'd see happier, more resilient students. Let's consider a gentler approach that prepares them for the real world in a supportive way. #ArchitectureEducation #StudentWellbeing #CreativeLearning

Investing time in architecture education is about more than just landing a job in the field. It's about building a foundation that fosters creativity and resilience. Don't feel like you're wasting time in architecture education just because you might not end up working at an architecture firm. The skills and perspectives you gain are invaluable for any career. After a rewarding journey, I decided to step away from practicing architecture in NYC. I had the privilege of working with many talented designers, engineers, and wonderful clients on various projects. While I may not return to the industry as a practitioner, the lessons I learned in architecture school and my experiences in the field have profoundly shaped who I am. They continue to guide me as I embark on new projects in education and technology. To all students, remember that your education is a journey, not a destination. The lessons you learn and the skills you acquire will serve you in unexpected ways. Embrace every opportunity to grow and apply your knowledge creatively, no matter where your career path leads you. #Architecture #Education #CareerGrowth #Creativity #Resilience #LifelongLearning #CareerJourney #EducationTechnology #PersonalGrowth #DesignThinking
