👏 Kudos to our summer interns Lasse, Berk and Berge for a great final presentation to cap their research project on the risk, momentum and value factors in the US stock markets (S&P 500, S&P 400 and S&P 600 universes). 📊 Gaston and Nikita led the project and were quite impressed with the speed at which the students learned the tools needed, analyzed the data and programmed their algorithms to present their findings. 🧑💻 Great to see how much easier programming is nowadays using a modern language such as python, implementing code quickly and building on the vast resources of the internet using AI. 🤖 Seeing young students and researchers always makes me remember our first steps developing our investment strategies at the Endowed Chair of Asset Management at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht with Lutz Johanning. Unbelievable- but our journey towards founding Source For Alpha (S4A) actually started 20 years ago… 🤩 P.S. Of course we picked the nice graphics of a Copula probability density function for the picture - all the other tables and graphs would have been too boring 😇

We're excited to extend an invitation to join Computing Talent Initiative Accelerate 2024-25, an exclusive program designed to empower college students across California like you. This program is primarily targeted towards college students who are in the early stages of studying computer science (i.e. are currently taking an intro programming course or have taken one in the past semester or two). However, any CS student who is interested, meets the qualifications, and completes the application process is invited to participate. Accelerate offers a comprehensive approach to advancing your skills and working towards meaningful career opportunities in the tech industry. Here's what you can expect: Online Modules with flexible pacing including recommended pathways based on your summer experience goal. On average you will be dedicating 6-10 hours to the content. A learning community with regular check-ins. Students are expected to be available for 3 live sessions per week. Tuesday 6-8PM, Saturday 10-12PM, and the third session you will decide on based on your availability and the sessions provided by our team. Opportunities to connect with industry Summer work experience opportunities. All of your work throughout the year is in preparation for landing a summer work experience. Accelerate has recommended pathways to work towards the following three outcomes. Landing a Traditional Tech Internship, an REU, or a Summer Open Source Experience with our partner CodeDay.
