Are you looking to improve thermal comfort and energy saving benefits at the same time for your building or retail space? This case study of John Lewis, Edinburgh directly demonstrates two of the significant benefits of an AirDoor. AirDoor-Pillar, in this scenario, immediately showed improvements to customer and associate comfort in the large entrances of this John Lewis. Previously, areas of retail space were uncomfortable due to infiltration of outside air. Additionally, energy savings from reduced heating losses through the large doorways have been demonstrated helping John Lewis save significant carbon output on this large store.
🌟Case Study – John Lewis & Partners, Edinburgh Department Store🌟 Working closely with the John Lewis Partnership, VES Ltd successfully manufactured and installed 6 AirDoor-Pillar pairs across each of the 4 entrances which spanned multiple levels at the John Lewis & Partners department store in Edinburgh. Want to know more? See our case study below for a detailed overview of the project, the full testimonial, the challenges we faced and the successful impact we had. As The New Terminal One at JFK continues to take shape, we recently installed curtain wall panels that comprise the cladding around the AirTrain entry and exit portals of our building. Frequent flyers at JFK Airport will notice that the JFK AirTrain travels through our terminal building, passing through an enclosed area that we built to protect the AirTrain from all construction activity. To allow for work to take place on the AirTrain entry and exit portals, train service to the existing Terminal 1 was suspended temporarily. Our teams worked in close partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and other airport stakeholders to ensure that passengers can still get to the existing Terminal 1, with bus bridging, updated signage and additional staff to direct and assist customers. We thank everyone for their patience as we continue building #ANewJFK together.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is urging travelers using John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) during the Thanksgiving holiday to avoid driving directly to airport terminals and instead rely on public transportation and the free pick-up and drop-off lot at AirTrain JFK’s Lefferts Boulevard station to avoid traffic at the terminal frontages. JFK is forecast to set a record for passenger volume during the holiday week amid peak airport construction as the $19 billion redevelopment nears the halfway mark. #nyairportnews https://lnkd.in/g98ywpMf
