Sometimes, opportunity really comes down to meeting someone at the right place, at the right time. Recently I went model scouting with my friend Adrianna Gronowska and it really proved how opportunities pop up when you make yourself visible irl. 👀 To be scouted, all you need to do is look the part and be hanging out at the same place and time that she's scouting. And although I hate to say it, a lot of career opportunities will work in a similar way too. It's great to be packed with knowledge and skills, but it usually takes one great opportunity to rocket them into a successful career. So what can you be doing to be present at the right place, at the right time, as people in your industry? 👩🏼💻 WORKING SPACES Get into your office an extra day a week or go to a cafe, and have chats with co-workers or people in the queue as you're grabbing a coffee (expect some blank faces if you're in London 😂). 🫱🏼🫲🏾 NETWORK Attend networking events like 'London Connector' or Erica Somer's 'House Of Marketing'. 🧑🏾🍳 ACTIVITIES Get involved in activities - they don't need to be industry specific (you never know who your connections may put you in contact with). It's easy to stick yourself behind LinkedIn, but meeting people in person is much more likely to give you the advantage you're looking for. 💬 I'd love to hear your 'right place, right time' stories... #CareerOpportunities #Opportunity #Networking #Connections #CareerProgression

As many of you who I have talked with know, I write about sponsorship, but I also love to write about traveling... I've been coaching, training, and teaching, always telling people to ABN (Always Be Networking). You never know where you'll meet someone who can change your life or even your career. In this chapter of my life, I have been traveling a lot, and I have to say it's been a lot of fun (see my Instagram if you're ever interested). I was flying United (I'm a proud United Loyalist, Premier 1K with eyes on Global Services) and found myself at the United Club in San Francisco, where I've been passing through quite a bit lately. While waiting at the United Club, I struck up a conversation with a fellow traveler. The initial small talk about flights, favorite hubs/United Clubs, first-class upgrade tips, and airport tips quickly turned into something more. We discovered that our career paths had surprisingly similar twists and turns, with shared experiences in sports and entertainment. It turns out he has been on the brand for years doing sponsorships (you probably know the brand). I knew of him but didn't put two and two together. What happened? We exchanged information and are starting to build a relationship organically. Moments like these remind me that networking doesn't always have to be planned—sometimes, the best connections happen organically, over a drink at an airport lounge. Why is this important? Building authentic relationships is essential for people who want to share knowledge, get a job, create mentorships, and enhance professional and personal growth. This strategy has been a stronghold of who I am. I feel that if people make the effort, you never know who they will meet. This is why I always approach each interaction as an opportunity. You never know whether it's a chance encounter at 30,000 feet, at the bar of the United Club, at the grocery store, or any other time you are out. It's the old line: it's not what you know but who you know. We're here to help. #sportsbiz #networking #heretohelp

Why some sponsorship opportunities flourish Last week we released a Core Values document for our organization. We’ve been growing fast as a team. So I’m making sure the culture grows as well. (Weird to think that just a few years ago, it was basically me flying all over the US and Canada as a solo consultant). The first piece of the document states that our mission is to transform our clients into world class sponsorship opportunities. And I’d say we’re doing a great job so far. Our clients go from: ● Trying & failing… to just doing what works ● Sending proposals and not hearing back… to getting decision-makers to say, “Yes, we’d love to.” ● Struggling for $100s in sponsorship… to inking $10,000 deals (or more). But here’s the thing: No sponsorship opportunity just starts off inking deals with Pepsi or Nike. You build to that level piece by piece. The sponsorship programs that flourish aren’t luckier, smarter, or more deserving than you. They have just assembled the right “pieces.” And they put them together the right way… Cutting YEARS off of the process. If you want to know how to drastically transform your sponsorship program into a sponsorship magnet… You can start small. The first step is scheduling a complimentary assessment with my advisors here. https://lnkd.in/eDxfEHEG We’ll assess your sponsorship opportunity and give you clarity around your next steps.

5. Hired a Virtual Assistant 6. Speaking gigs about Event Sponsorship Being an entrepreneur is like being on a rollercoaster that never stops! It's all about hustling and constantly finding new ways to make things happen. Your Network is Your Networth 💼 Attending ICE & iGB Barcelona was more than just another conference—it was an opportunity to challenge the usual approach. Instead of relying solely on online applications, I took a bold step and actively went job hunting in person. 💡 What happened? - I received some great compliments for the unique approach. - I also got schooled on the importance of following industry protocols. This experience reinforced the idea that while thinking outside the box can make you stand out is important, but aligning with industry expectations is equally crucial so you can fit in. I gained valuable connections, insights, and a clearer direction for my next steps in the iGaming space. Onward and upward! 🫶 I am excited to see where these new connections lead! 👉 Have you ever tried an unconventional approach to actively pursue what you want to do? Would love to hear from others—what’s the boldest move you’ve made for career growth? 🚀 Let’s connect and share experiences! #Networking #CareerGrowth #ICE2025 #iGBBarcelona #iGaming #Newknowledge #NewConnections

Today, I want to share a tip that has made all the difference in my sponsorship journey: Focus on building relationships first. In this industry, it’s not just about contracts and numbers. The real magic happens when you connect with people on a deeper level. I've been fortunate to create some incredible opportunities, and it’s all thanks to the amazing people and athletes who have become more than just partners—they’re like family. Here’s why building relationships is key: - Trust and Credibility: When you have a strong bond, trust naturally follows, and that’s the foundation of any successful partnership. - Shared Goals: Understanding each other's visions and values leads to collaborations that truly make an impact. - Longevity: Partnerships based on genuine relationships are more likely to stand the test of time. A huge shoutout to all the fantastic individuals and athletes who’ve been part of this journey with me. Your passion and dedication continue to inspire me every day. Together, we’re not just hitting targets; we’re creating a community that feels like home. #SponsorshipTips #BuildingRelationships #Teamwork #AthletePartnerships #Community
