I Help Organisations Create Powerful EVPs | Employer Brand | Employee Value Proposition | Training | Mentoring | Employee Experience | Culture | Talent Attraction | DEI | Engagement | Comms | RL100 Member
Do you know what the no.1 driver of employee engagement is? Culture? Trust? Leadership? Vision? ....Nope! It's BELONGING 💥 Qualtrics did a study of 11,800 people across the world a few years ago, and they found that the driver that was most corelated with Engagement was Belonging..... So I did some digging to find out; '𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁?' And it turns when you look at belonging from a neuroscientific point of view, scientists have discovered that 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻 🧠 So whilst I love the below video from my insta feed because I have two little girls myself, I also know it's not just about playing with toys... Inclusion is a huge part of a powerful EVP and Employer Brand... When candidates ask recruiters "What's the culture like there?" what they're likely trying to ascertain is "Will I feel I belong there?" When we talk about #dei in #ta we tend to talk about Diversity and Equity....Unconscious bias training, equitable recruitment processes and all that good stuff.... But perhaps we should be putting more thought into our candidates' needs for Belonging? ❓ What do you think folks❓ ………………………………………………………. I’m Vicki, the Founder of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗩𝗣 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆. I partner with organisations to create and activate powerful EVPs that attract and retain top talent 💥 Follow me for more insights like this and ring my bell to catch my posts 🛎️ 📞You can book a 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 to explore how I could support your organisation via DM or email me at vicki@theevpconsultancy.co.uk #employerbranding #evp #recruitmentmarketing #talentattraction #culture Video Credit: visuallyimpaired-notscared (via instagram) https://lnkd.in/eND6AYd3
Mia's ONH Journey on Instagram: "Blind Barbie!! Mia was unbelievably excited from the moment I said there was a new Blind Barbie who has a cane like Mia. She asked every day since ordering if it was ready to collect!. As you can see from her reaction, she is so happy with her new Barbie! It is so important for this representation in children toys, and I am so glad @Barbie has worked with @afb1921

Talent Acquisition Specialist @ International Media Investments/ The National News | Candidate Experience, Talent Sourcing, New hire Onboarding
In the dynamic business world, employee worth often gets overshadowed by profit-driven goals. Yet, history shows that recognizing this worth sparks transformative change. This awareness is similar to movements for civil rights, empowers individuals to demand fair treatment and improved conditions. Reflect on past movements like the Pullman Strike in 1894 in the United States, emphasizing the transformative power of collective action. Modern examples, such as Google's 2018 walkouts, showcase employees asserting their worth to address issues like workplace harassment. The fight for women's rights is epitomized by movements like #MeToo, as women worldwide challenge discrimination, advocating for equal pay and opportunities. Illustrates the transformative power of recognizing individual worth in shaping workplace culture. It’s not just about fair pay; it's about creating environments that prioritize well-being, mental health, and personal growth. As we recognize our power, positive change becomes inevitable. The journey towards workplace transformation begins with us acknowledging and asserting the value we bring to the table. #EmployeeEmpowerment #WorkplaceRevolution #KnowYourValue #humancapital #humanresources #peopleandculture #linkedinconnections #linkedin

Happy #WomensHistoryMonth and #InternationalWomensDay! Throughout March, we’re featuring teammates from across Realtor.com to learn more about what Women's History Month means to them. Meet Filiz Ozer, Senior Manager, New Construction Partnerships. In her role, Filiz identifies new opportunities to partner with companies to help improve our product listings and website experience for both our new home builders and shoppers. What does Women’s History Month mean to you? It means consistently learning about the diverse group of women who have changed history and acknowledging how much more work we have yet to do. It means making something of my mother’s sacrifices, pushing barriers so that my daughter won’t need to ask permission to take up space, and teaching my sons to understand what allyship means in creating equitable opportunities that will change the future of the world around them. It means sharing my unique experiences as a first-generation American and dissecting the complexities of empowerment from different cultural perspectives in hopes of removing the stigma from important topics we weren’t openly allowed to speak up for growing up. It means continuing to move forward by showing up for myself, my family, and the next generation of wavemakers, influencers, and decision makers – and that while I may not be the name written into history, I may trigger a thought or contribute to a discussion that can help create the next notable name in women’s history. No matter how big or small, it’s about continuous forward motion and expanding our reach together. In what ways do you feel Realtor.com fosters a diverse and inclusive culture? There is always an open seat for anyone who raises their hand and asks to be part of (or simply want to listen to) important discussions within our Employee Resource Groups, Employee Engagement Committee, Product/Tech calls, and much more. We lead with mindfulness and consciously make sure to not only see opportunities to extend our reach, but actively focus on how we can make improvements.
