Rutvi Vyas, a charismatic and awe inspiring personality was nurtured abroad. Her forte is setting up quality schools and she has achieved that with over 15 years of experience in this area.
Sharing and Taking Turns: Preschool taught us the art of sharing toys and taking turns during playtime. In the workplace, collaboration and teamwork thrive when we share ideas, responsibilities, and successes, recognizing that success is a collective effort. In a preschool classroom, the teacher brings out a box of building blocks for the kids to play with. Emma and Liam both want to build a tower with the blocks. Instead of grabbing the blocks and starting a conflict, they decide to share. They take turns adding blocks to the tower, cheering each other on with every addition. In this simple act of sharing and taking turns, preschool kids learn the importance of cooperation and working together to achieve a common goal.

Ugh, another low-paying county job. Let’s lay it out: Max #salary is $58,052/yr gross That would be about $21,456/yr net. 😖 Monthly take home is around $1,788 in #sanbernardinocounty where the median rent is over $2K/month. 😵💫 You’d be in the negative every month even before feeding yourself, putting gas in your car, keeping the electricity and lights on, or paying for any other daily essentials. 💀 Please stop underpaying #teachers. We need more good folks in the classroom, not fewer. 🍎 #salarytransparency

As an early childhood educator this is especially important to remember. One thing I love is the moment I step into the program space I immediately feel a sense of genuine joy, even if my attitude wasn’t positive before I stepped into the space. I feel that immediate shift. I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of many programs and the successful ones are the ones that have educators who come into the space with positive attitude even on the difficult days. Anytime I mentor or support, one of the first things I say is have fun, and enjoy what your doing, take this opportunity to be creative and silly. We are here for the children and families. One thing I say to a lot of educators is put the fun back into it, and to the newer educators I say hold on to that joy and passion you have and don’t let it go. I’ll leave this post off with a question to reflect on; How would you feel everyday if you had yourself as an educator? (Revert back to the age of the group you support each day.)
