At HAYES, delivering compliance in an electrical installation, both domestic and commercial, is a core value and enduring ethos of the team. We not only achieve this by having highly skilled engineers, but by also teaching and guiding the next generation into the trade, so they can pass the knowledge forward, in time to come. Having an apprentice is one of the most fulfilling, rewarding and (sometimes) stressful experiences you can have in a work place. But... only by engaging and challenging an apprentice, can you unlock their true potential. If you want a "brew-maker" or "sweeper upper" - then employ such an individual for that role. If you want an apprentice - make the time to be engaging and guide them. In years to come you will see a return on your investment. (They should still make the ODD brew though 👀)

Brace yourself for the truth about green jobs ... A lot of them don't require 4-year degrees! What if we had more vocational programs and apprenticeships to help solve the climate crisis? California need THOUSANDS of people who can * install solar panels * build and service wind turbines * repair electric vehicles And these are good jobs that won't put people into crushing school debt. Solar panel installer salary: $46k - $60k Wind turbine tech: $50k - $70k E.V. mechanic: $60k - $87K If you know someone who's about to graduate from high school (or someone who wants to retrain for a green career without going to school for 4 years) send them this post!

The Apprentice knows you have to hit it to make it work - The Technician knows where you have to hit it to make it work * The Engineer knows why you have to hit it to make it work.
