A little late posting this one, but Ryan Deyoe and I got a chance to meet in-person last week and meet with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and the Interregional Transmission Capability Study advisory group to give a status update. It was great to meet with such a broad group of stakeholders and talk about one of my favorite topic - interregional transmission!! It was great to meet with Derek Stenclik and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) along with all the NERC stakeholders in person (and virtually) to discuss their important work on interregional transmission. A major takeaway I got from the diverse group of stakeholders in attendance was that there is an industry desire for clear and actionable recommendations on how transfer capability between regions can deliver on reliability, resilience, and security needs and a desire to quantify where more capability may be needed. This was a great reminder that everyone is committed to a safe and reliable power system and that we can gather together for constructive discussions on ensuring that commitment is achievable.
