👨💻 Johnson & Johnson MedTech and NVIDIA forge partnership to drive AI applications in surgery The partnership is intended to bolster access to real-time analysis and the worldwide availability of AI algorithms. These applications will be used for surgical decision-making, training, and collaboration across the connected operating room (OR). Johnson & Johnson MedTech will combine its surgical technologies portfolio with NVIDIA’s healthcare-focused AI platform. The medical technology firm said that these technologies will enable rapid, secure, and real-time deployment of AI using its connected digital ecosystem for surgery. Under the collaboration, Johnson & Johnson MedTech will combine its digital ecosystem with the NVIDIA IGX edge computing platform and NVIDIA Holoscan edge AI platform. The American medical technology firm will create infrastructure to deploy these AI-driven software algorithms for surgery in the OR. NVIDIA said that IGX and Holoscan can aid in secure, real-time processing of data from devices across the OR to offer clinical insights and enhance surgical outcomes.
