🏴 Gareth Southgate and his men are back on the screens tonight in the knockout stages. 🏴 ⚽️ I think we all agree that the talent within the team is exceptional, we should get the result but all the talent are individuals and are not knitting together as a TEAM! Players having unbelievable talent and being asked to play in a way that’s not necessarily to their strengths - happens a lot in businesses too. We have the talent within the team but the results don’t show that or we need are stars within the business to at times play a different role, do something different and still perform to the standard they set themselves. Does that resonate with you? Do you have stars within the team that you are asking more of but they don’t know how to perform in that way? (Phil Foden) Do you have stars within your team that are new to the role that are learning in the job but have all the talent in the world (Mainoo) Don’t be a Gareth Southgate, you have more time to adapt and have yet to reach that knockout stage - you are still in group stages so have enough time to make those changes effectively. https://lnkd.in/eAWj7nfH

After last nights performance - this couldn't be more of a reality statement? Scrapping to get the result you need with a team full of superstars - sitting there thinking how can this be? We have to be winning comfortably - should be a breeze to get the result we need. BUT from observation, a couple of tired legs (fatigue), team members still playing in positions that are not suitable for them (superstars can't be superstars at everything), struggle to get the momentum together (starts causing frustration) and then thinking a win's a win but really going in to the next day is there going to be much of a change? This is what happens in businesses up and down the country - important decisions go a miss, bung top performers together and expect the best results and then scratch your head when it only just works. PS - still here to help if this resonates with you.

Mark your calendars for The European Class Actions Forum 2024, taking place on the 12-13 June 2024 at the Pestana Amsterdam Riverside, Netherlands. Historically, class action events have taken a broader, more generic look at global jurisdictions or more long-standing class action regimes such as the US. In contrast, this conference focuses specifically on Europe and its developing class action landscape. You can book at a discounted rate by using my 10% speaker discount code: ECAFSPK24. https://hubs.la/Q02p-x7D0 #ClassActions #Europe #Arbitration #Disputes #TL4

This is the most interesting interview I've heard this year! Michael Cembalest covers a wide range of topics like the Mag 7, China, Human Negativity Bias, the value of LinkedIn, Politics, etc. Thanks, Joshua Brown
What happens if Biden drops out? Why Geopolitics and the National Debt are the numbers 1 and 2 biggest distraction for investors. What if all the market cap we're assigning to large language model ownership turns out not to be very valuable at all? Is anyone concerned that NVDA just assigned 100% of its fabrication to one supplier? Guys, this is one of the best things we've ever done. Michael Cembalest was incredible, it's no wonder 65,000 people have already downloaded the audio and 25,000 people have watched the video. https://lnkd.in/ewr3erQZ

📣 #awardseason is in full effect and we cap of this week by having the pleasure to announce that Chambers and Partners's Europe Guide has (again) ranked us as a #Band1 firm for 5/6 reviewed categories. Individually, our lawyers continue to be exceptionally ranked, with Aleš Rojs holding the Senior Statespeople ranking, senior partners Grega Peljhan, Tomaz ILESIC and Matija Testen holding #Band1 rankings (Grega and Matija actually have two!), managing partners Bojan Sporar and Robert Prelesnik holding #band2 rankings (Bojan with the double!) and partners Sergej Omladič, David Premelč and Gregor Pajek holding #band3. Oh, and did we mention two #upandcomers partner Blaž Hrastnik and senior counsel Polona Fink? Congratulations to all! A special congratulations this year to partner Aljoša Krdžić who has been #upgraded to a #Band3 ranking for Competition/Antitrust, which reflects his meteoric rise in the field. With client feedback such as "He provides advice that has several next steps in mind" and "He is really good at 'reading the room', in terms of assessing the status and next steps required" this is not that much of a surprise. Full details on rankings and illustrious client quotes available at https://lnkd.in/dHgknZf As with any award, we are grateful not just to the academy (Chambers), but to our fans - in this case our clients, who give use the feedback that drives us to perfection. The road to success may be always under construction, but with a construction crew such as ours, we're aiming for a highway! P.S. As anticipated, it was difficult to choose a proper quote to encapsulate our work, but for now, this is one for the history books.
