When you are on a client call with your boss who ends the call by saying "Yeah, (Your Name) will have that over in just a bit". But you have no clue what they are talking about as you haven't said a word through the duration of the meeting so you just look at them like this.... #silly

Customer service appreciation post! The time had come for me to get a new suit as I have some upcoming events requiring me to wear one and I cannot put it off any longer. So last weekend I braved the mall and made my way to Macy's. As I got in and started looking I was greeted by an employee asking if I needed help. I told her what I was looking for and she instantly located a suit that met all my needs. On top of that, just by looking at me, she figured out my size so the 1st suit I tried on fit perfectly and was a winner. I was then given a shirt, and tie recommendation that would look good for each specific type of event I would be attending in this suit. Wrap all of that up by receiving their "VIP SALE" and you have the reason I go to Macy's for my suit purchases and more. They have provided reliable service for me over the years and this last visit was the best yet. So Macy's Retail Holdings, Inc. 'Anna from Suits' at the Freehold Raceway Mall is nothing short of fantastic. She was kind, insightful, and super time efficient. Have you received any notable customer service lately?

In the past few months, I have attended roughly 8 product releases/webinars on several given software's AI launches and have one major takeaway... To breathe. AI is such a hot topic but very few know how to optimize it for what they need and even fewer are implementing it as such. To oversimplify it for anyone who needs it. AI is a really smart search engine. It is vastly more complex than that sure. But I am seeing very few people simplifying its use as the world seems to be trying to move mountains with it when we are truly just in its infancy. My advice to anyone feeling overwhelmed by the AI wave: -Stay current. Join webinars and product releases for any software you use that is implementing it. *Some examples are HubSpot, Zapier, and ZoomInfo as they have all done a good job of producing digestible educational content in the AI space.* -Learn and Implement incrementally. A little bit at a time will go a long way a few years down the road. -Don't overreact. The reality is we are all figuring this out together and in time like anything else, you will figure it out. 😎 It's a good day, for a good day. #sales #marketing #ai #eventprofs

INBOUND was last week which can only mean one thing.... New product updates! How are all my fellow super admins feeling out there?

Where do you stand when it comes to rules? Are you a rule breaker, a rule follower, or somewhere in the middle... like in the "some rules are dumb and do not apply to me" area? For me, rules are law. Whether it was a rule set by my parent, teacher, coach, etc. you could bet your money that I would not be breaking that rule. And this is how I have remained in my adult life thus far. It may be weird to some but I like rules and processes. Now this being said; once in a blue moon.... Rules are meant to be broken. My mom had a rule... No ball pits. (too many germs) So when my team outing last week brought me to a ball pit I was met with an internal dilemma... Follow my mom's rule set roughly 25 years ago or break her rule and slide right into the ball pit for my younger self that wasn't allowed... I struggle with my confidence... And although I truly desire to become a confident person... My lack of confidence has made me; well, me. I live every day with something to prove which has led me to where I am today... There is a lot I still want to accomplish and learn. But I am proud of where I have gotten. With Labor Day officially in the rear view of the year that means 2 things: 1. Trade show busy season. 2. Back to school. IMTS is installing, NACS move-in is a month away, shows like Fabtech, NBAA, and many others will go live in under 60 days. It is safe to say we have entered the hurricane season for #eventprofs far and wide. On top of all that the majority of the country has now either started school or is returning this week. Which means no more summer interns, crazier mornings juggling getting yourself + your kids ready, loved ones returning to school after summer, sports, afterschool activites, etc. It is nothing short of amazing to watch all the magic that is happening across the show floors during September and October. Especially when you know what these talented folks are juggling outside of work. Happy back to school for everyone who is returning and best of luck to all the event people out there during this wild stretch of the year...
