The current trend to recruit as many potential donors as possible with non-personal communications such as mass emails, text messages, social media postings, website updates, and even televised solicitations elevates the awareness of the organization’s mission. That is a great benefit to any fundraising campaign. If organizations are out of sight, they quickly become out of mind. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the start of a new #annualgiving campaign is one of my favorite times of the #fundraising year. When I led annual funds in #independentschools, I used to love the challenge of having to out-think, out-plan, and out-perform the year that I had just closed. Daunting? Yes. But honing messages, developing a (prospect) path to success, and ensuring that my approach was donor-centric, not institution-centric, was exhilarating. In this article I wrote a couple years ago, I share some experience-earned advice.

Factor # 4: Donor-Advised Funds Are Growing One key trend that has seen a significant uptick over the past several years is the use of donor-advised funds (DAFs), which Daubert likened to a regular person setting up a mini foundation.
