DID YOU KNOW: The Ministry of Water, Land, and Resource Stewardship (WLRS) leads a permitting project that involves creating opportunities to be filled across the natural resource sector (NRS). These roles support a streamlined process for obtaining permits to build commercial housing in response to the housing crisis. This project also addresses the connectivity and systemic upgrades in remote communities while working directly with Indigenous People as supported by the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Employees allocated to this work hold a range of skillsets and work together, across ministries, to create and implement solutions that have a big impact.
