Teams that play together, stay together. Or something. Well, we believe away days are a great opportunity to connect and deepen working relationships. Ostensibly that’s the purpose of the annual PLOTT summer day out. But also laughter, silliness, bonding and, um … cocktails? This year's destination was lovely Manchester, with a trip to The Cube (as seen on TV) at Urban Playground UK. If you've not seen it, it's a series of challenges set inside a glass cube. Each task involves either problem-solving, concentration, or memory skills. And a good deal of laughter. Isn’t this just what the PLOTT team does every day? Yes, but with cocktails. After all that hard work, it was only right to top it off with Brunch at Turtle Bay. And more cocktails. And more laughter. We’re a happy bunch. In the end our business is all about teamwork. And we love to show them how much their efforts are appreciated. #TeamWork #BrandingWithBalls #BottomlessBrunch

Bay Leaves and Your Career Has anyone ever come across Bay Leaves in a dish and wondered to yourself, "Why the heck are these leaves in here??" They don't really smell like anything. They don't seem to taste like anything. You don't eat them. You end up just taking them out, setting them on the nearest napkin, and moving on with your life. So, why?? Many believe that their purpose lies in their ability to enhance all of the prominent flavors in the dish. They are there to add depth to the flavor profiles. Some even say that there is clearly something missing when they're not there. And this all got me thinking... Who are the Bay Leaves at your company? Who are the ones who might go somewhat unseen, but you would sure as heck miss them if they weren't there? Who are the ones who might not be as prominent, but they add depth to the company and culture as a whole? Who are the ones who might not be in the spotlight, but they enhance the flavor of everyone around them? I think it's crucial to understand that some folks are Bay Leaves. And if they weren't there, something would clearly be missing. So, make sure and keep an eye out for the Bay Leaves. And when you notice them, make sure and celebrate the heck out of them.
