Thorne’s Fear of Aging report was recently featured in a WWD article highlighting how Americans are prioritizing health and wellness, and how each generation is thinking about health and longevity earlier than the last. Our CEO, Colin Watts, gave his thoughts on the findings, as shared his views on the future of healthy aging and personalized, scientific wellness. Many thanks to Alexandra Pastore at WWD for the feature story, which highlights specific generational views on aging. The findings reveal the common ground many Americans share — wanting to take a more proactive and personalized approach to live healthier, longer. As a science-driven health and wellness company, we look forward to continuing to be at the forefront of the healthy aging conversation. Empowering Women 47+ to make an Impact in Her Life as a Woman & Leader. Thrive at midlife by turning her boring/fearful life to an adventurous new right-size life. All measured/tailored! Fits & suits her perfectly.
STOP Saying Anti-Aging Anti-Aging encouraged by the beauty industry is total BS. The anti-aging culture/industry and diet-culture are so similar, its scary. They’re both upholding these ever changing unrealistic standards. They profit big time form these unrealistic standards and our fear and insecurities created by these messaging. They use "you are worth it" or "love your body" providing solutions to our insecurities created by the same industries. The reason I highlight this as aging and body image go hand in hand. As women age they feel ashamed of their bodies for Women 35-60 years of age. It's a very deep fear and impact on their confidence and also on their lives. I am also part of this conditioning. I dye my hair and use retinol of age spots. Cause i do not like them. I have considered botox however not used it and also a tummy tuck but i have not done it. Can you see the immense pressure on women to look or be a certain way? As we age it becomes more intense the pressure to look young for longer. This is their unrealistic messaging by the anti-aging culture and diet culture 1. They both target women - to maintain their desirability for longer. 2. Treat women as objects and value is based on this objectifying of women 3. Being thin will make you feel better and look better to a unrealistic standard and stereotype. But your body is going to change during menopause and as you age? 4. They both do not represent the real women out there 5. Your skin is going get wrinkles - its natural!! So they make having wrinkle as being unhealthy and unattractive. How can we defy a natural progression of life. The list goes on. How does the anti-aging and diet culture impact you? #antiaging #thriveatmidlife #midlifewomen

How can we enhance our wellbeing as we age so that we remain vibrant, energetic, and feel well in our bodies? This is the topic that we tackled in the final session of my 8 week course for Solutions to Women's Health Concerns. Our society creates unspoken agreements that alter the mindset and assumptions as to what to expect of each other as we get older. Young people dread wrinkles, hair greying, and hair loss because they are signs of aging. But is aging really bad? Did you know that you can be biologically younger, even though you're getting chronologically older? Engaging in these conversations unroots these biases, so that we can positively transform the way we age long-term. By halting our acceptance of ageism, we eliminate judgment of others and self. This empowers us to live a healthy, beautiful, and elegant lifespan. This is discussed in chapters 8 and 9 of my book, Mind Body Secrets. #integrativebeing #aging #aginggracefully #agemanagementmedicinegroup #AMMG #mindbodysecrets #mindbodymedicine #integrativeendocrinology #health #longevity #hormonebalance #agemanagement #functionalmedicine #integrativemedicine #transformation #foodismedicine #wholefoods #fasting #exerciseroutine #sleephygiene #emotionalhealth #mindbodyspirit #mindfulleadership #womeninmedicine

We, Gen Z, often face scrutiny for seeming to age prematurely, but what really makes us look older? Here are some lifestyle factors that we could work on: 1. The abundance of skincare products, influenced by social media trends, may lead to premature ageing 2. Unhealthy lifestyle choices also play a role, with early engagement in alcohol, vaping, and recreational drugs leading to precocious puberty and metabolic issues. 3. The stress epidemic among us, further amplifies concerns about early ageing. Comparatively, millennials seem to have benefited from a simpler childhood with home-cooked meals, less pollution, and a more favorable lifestyle. https://zurl.co/B02E #GenZ #PrematureAgeing #Lifestyle #Stress #InThingNow #Ageing #Millennials
