✈️ A single pilot in the cockpit? 😮 The aviation industry is debating a proposal that could change everything: commercial flights with a single pilot instead of two. As aircraft manufacturers and airlines push to cut costs and address pilot shortages, air safety becomes the central issue. 🚨 Pilots warn that reducing crew to one could increase risks, as collaboration between the two pilots is key to solving problems in flight. The European Aviation Safety Agency is evaluating this proposal, and we could see changes as soon as 2027. 💬 👇What do you think? could this affect commercial flight safety? #formaero #Aviation #AirSafety #Innovation.

A Close Call in Austin: TCAS Averts Potential Collision On the 16th of October an American Airlines 737 reg: N800NN and a Cessna R182 Skylane reg: N738PG came close to a collision while the airliner was landing in Austin. The Cessna that did not communicate with Austin approach control crossed over into the final segment of the extended approach for Runway 36L. This necessitated a Traffic Collision Avoidance System or TCAS Resolution Advisory on the 737 to be initiated. TCAS is a vital instrument used in aircrafts to help notify the pilot or pilots of any prospective middle of the air crash. The two aircraft were only 400 feet apart horizontal distance as the Cessna flew underneath the larger aircraft. In light of this event, the public should embrace communication as aیط key factor and particularly compliance with air traffic control procedures in the promotion of safe aviation. It is high time that we keep on enhancing safety in each flying undertaking. #AviationSafety #AirTrafficControl #TCAS

Let's prioritize #safety and #efficiency in aviation. A Frontier Airlines aircraft encountered damage to its wing while pushing back at Denver International Airport (DEN), highlighting the need for advanced collision avoidance systems like our #ELVIZ. By guiding towing vehicles and operators, ELVIZ prevents collisions, enhances safety, and optimizes operations in real time. . . . #SafetyFirst #AviationTechnology #Innovation #Lidar #Aviationsafety #mro

NEWS 🗞️ ACSS celebrates a successful application for Supplemental Type Certification of its ADS-B In product SafeRoute+ by the Federal Aviation Administration. The updated software will now be deployed across all 298 American Airlines (AAL) A321 aircraft. ℹ️ This significant milestone is in support of the ongoing trial between the FAA, AAL and ACSS, demonstrating the benefits of utilizing enhanced surveillance tools to improve pilot situational awareness, operational efficiency and ultimately aviation safety. During the trial period all AAL A321 aircraft were fitted with SafeRoute+ ADS-B In functionality, alongside the mandatory ADS-B Out, enabling pilots to receive and display ‘assigned spacing goal’ information, which in turn allows Air Traffic Control agents to maximize airspace capacity through better predictability and more accurate arrival spacing while also providing fuel efficiencies to airlines. More them 40 years as Licensed Aircraft Engineer EASA B1-B2-C, FAA A&P (B727-100/200, B737CL/NG/MAX, B757-200, A300-600, EMB/LEGACY600/650, Falcon 900 Ex Easy, Falcon 7X, Bombardier BD700 Series) and Trainer / Instructor
Every one talk and demand safety first but is no implementation. Auditors, supervisors, quality controllers, etc. All of them they talk to much ball shit because they argue that is written but they don’t make making to be implement all the safety procedures to avoid all this kind of accidents. There is legislation, a lot, but people they get lost because part of is written contradicting there selfs. All this to reduce people and save money but on the end they wast more money now then was before. If they wont professionals they pay to have in they don’t pay they amateurs. Show me the money and I give you real professional. If give me peanuts I give you monkeys.🐒

🔍✈️ Federal Aviation Administration Urges Swift Inspections for Boeing 737-900ER! 🚀 Hold on to your seatbelts! The Federal Aviation Administration has called for a close-up on the Boeing 737-900ER, recommending inspections to ensure bolt-tight security. This revelation follows recent grounding of 737 MAX 9s due to a mid-flight door panel incident. Scott Hamilton, aviation analyst with LeeHam News, reveals the 900ER's similarities with the MAX 9, sharing, "It is, the 900ER is part of what’s called the 737 next gen. It’s essentially the same airplane, it’s the same fuselage" With inspections taking 4-8 hours, the impact on airline schedules is expected to be minimal, given the 900ER's lower production numbers. Travelers can remain confident as safety measures are prioritized. Stay tuned for smooth skies ahead! ✈️🛠️ #SIAE #SARC #FAA #Boeing #Aviation #AviationNews #BoeingSafety #FAAInspections

FAA orders inspections for 787 cockpit seats following LATAM in-flight upset US regulators have issued a directive for the inspections of Boeing 787 cockpit seats, after a spate of “uncommanded” seat movements reported among operators. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) notice also follows a March incident involving a LATAM 787, where an involuntary forward shift in the pilot’s seat led to an in-flight upset that caused the plane to experience a “sudden unintentional” loss of altitude. With all the focus on runway incursions, I thought it might be nice to see some deft handling of an emergency that required extensive coordination in busy airspace: https://lnkd.in/eXNukPj8 I'm particularly impressed with how ATC handles the request, ultimately giving the crew whatever they need (ILS 4L) but also asking if there is a middle ground (ILS 22L) that would work and cause less disruption. The aircraft crew re-runs the numbers and affirms the need for 4L, specifically (runway length). Not only is this video a textbook example of clear, efficient communication, but it also highlights how important it is for pilots to be fluent in conversational English to handle non-standard situations. There is a lot more to it than simply reading back headings, altitudes, speeds and approach clearances. I would suggest this could be the basis of training material/scenarios for BOTH pilot and controller training. A+ all around, and further proof that NY controllers are fantastic at what they do. I'm guessing they had to stop departures and arrivals to accommodate this opposite direction arrival (hence the emergency declaration on the pilots' behalf).

Just before reaching cruising altitude after taking off from LaGuardia Airport, N.Y. in April 2018, Southwest Airlines Flight 1380’s two-engine Boeing 737 experienced an engine failure, resulting in high-velocity debris striking the cabin and causing rapid decompression. Despite aircraft-handling difficulties, the pilots conducted a safe landing with everyone surviving except one passenger, who was injured due to debris that had penetrated the fuselage. The captain described the coordination with the first officer in safely landing the aircraft: “We kind of just split the flight deck and I did flying and some of the outside talking and he took care of everything else.” Single-pilot operations would impose an increased workload and greater stress on the remaining pilot, particularly during the riskiest phases of flight, takeoff and especially landing. During flight emergencies, a single pilot would be at high risk of being overwhelmed with the potential to cause even greater risks.
