Anyone hiring AEs? I have a great one. Full cycle rep breaking into SaaS: - Sells FedEx services to VP of Ops, Logistics - 1 of 500 in his division - 175% of annual quota on a $4 mill goal - President’s Club (top 1% worldwide attainment) - Clients include Gilt Groupe, Joe Fresh, Karla Otto, Inked and Nylon Magazines ($80k closed-won), Little Miss Matched ($300k closed won), Assouline Publishing, Bravado ($150k closed won), Nest Fragrances, Strivectin, Bodum, John Hardy Jewelry, Luggage Free ($200k closed won), and Skip Hop. - ACV in tty $50k- $250k Comp requirement? He just wants to make a lateral move to SaaS as an AE. OK with base pay cut as long as OTE > $120k. (this is me, in case you're wondering) What a throwback! I actually took a pay cut to break into SaaS. Ultimately the most important decision of my career. That lead to so much discomfort but also so much growth. It didn’t matter what I accomplished - SaaS didn’t gaf until I accomplished it in SaaS. Cold truth. But the lessons learned are why I’m trying to make it easier for the next generations to succeed in this space. Because I had nobody helping me then, I created a community to help everyone now. Also, apparently had some interesting ideas to help evolve the future. Out with the old. In with the Next. ⏭

tl;dr- I'm hiring at Sweep! job description is linked below all my thoughts- what's always attracted me to new career opportunities- whether it be growing internally or moving to a new company- is 1) where can I sponge up knowledge from brillaint people with more experience than me and 2) where will I feel the tangible results of my impact? I can say without hesitation what I've experienced in the 15 months I've been at Sweep maxes out both of those aspirations in a way I haven't encountered before. Working at an early stage company isn't for everyone. But, for those who share similar values in how they want to grow, I can't imagine a better environment. When you manage to pull your mind out of the day-to-day weeds and reflect- the velocity of personal growth over a short period of time is astonishing. I'm sure Tess G. and Daniil Plokhikh who joined our sales team 6 months ago would agree; I've certainly seen them grow from my vantage point 💃 🕺 Join us! Does anybody knows any strategy/method to land a SAAS Sales role with a US Based company when you're not based in the US? Almost Every company is saying we're flexible but when it comes to hiring for sales roles, they're only hiring Remote(US) and when it comes to the social media platforms there is no filter that you can use to find roles with the US Companies when you're not based in the US.

For a company like us, offering dedicated SDRs, Hiring triggers would be ideal, right? In reality, it wasn’t as straightforward Most weren’t interested in, and based on the feedback: - They’re hiring SDRs on-site. - Already have an exact strategy in place for the SDR - New office, different location, doesn’t make sense to outsource Given these points Long story short, for us hiring triggers never worked. Why? - Companies fail to empathise with the German culture - They don't have a data centre in Germany - They don't have translated marketing collateral - German sellers are more conservative - They don't have localized leadership/thought out remote leadership - Hiring processes lack detail & transparency - Becoming a salesperson after getting a degree/masters is stigmatized - There's a huge skill shortage/supply & demand issue To my German network, what else would you add?

"Cold calling is a waste of time; our new sales hires won't do it." I got a TON of hate for this ^ BACKROUND Last week, I announced we are hiring BDRs. I mentioned they won't need to cold call because I believe it's a waste of time. This sparked a lot of controversy here. So, let’s put it to the test... I'm hiring 3 new sales reps for my team. My phone number is all over the internet (Apollo, zoom info...etc). It's also on my profile page. Crazy, I know. If you can somehow get my attention (anywhere you can find me, LinkedIn message, cold-call, text, email..etc). I'll hire the best one. In three months, I'll post the results here on how they did. My phone will be on all day for cold pitches - I'll record the best few. Let's see if cold calling still works...
