Why Continuous Learning is My Secret Weapon in the SaaS Universe There's something inherently exciting about the journey of learning—whether it's diving into the latest business book, mastering a new language, or tackling a fresh course or certification. This hunger for knowledge isn't just a personal quest; it's at the heart of how I approach the ever-evolving world of SaaS. Here's why I believe adopting a mindset of continuous improvement and learning is essential for anyone in the SaaS space. Learning as a Lifeline In the rapid currents of the SaaS industry, staying still means falling behind. New technologies, methodologies, and customer expectations emerge almost daily. Embracing continuous learning has been my lifeline, ensuring that both I and my business stay relevant, responsive, and ahead of the curve. The Human Touch At its core, SaaS is about solving human problems with technology. Every book read, every new language learned, and every course completed has deepened my understanding of the world—a perspective that's invaluable when designing solutions that meet real human needs. This broadened horizon has not only enhanced my problem-solving skills but also enriched the solutions my team and I develop. Cultivating a Growth Mindset Adopting a growth mindset within our team has transformed our approach to challenges and failures. Seeing every setback as a learning opportunity encourages innovation and resilience. This culture of continuous improvement means we're not just quick to adapt; we're always looking for ways to do better, to be better. The Ripple Effect This philosophy of continuous learning and improvement doesn't just benefit us internally; it extends to our customers. By constantly refining our knowledge and skills, we ensure that our products and services are not just meeting but anticipating our customers' needs, delivering value that grows over time. Invitation to Share I'm always on the lookout for new learning opportunities and ways to apply them to the ever-changing landscape of SaaS. What's been your most impactful learning experience, and how has it shaped your approach to business or life? Let's inspire each other to keep growing, learning, and improving. #ContinuousLearning #GrowthMindset #SaaSInnovation #PersonalDevelopment #LifelongLearning #GaiaLabs

How do you prioritise and how do you ensure that your data not only aligns with your goals but also fosters a more engaging and agile learning experience? We firmly believe that understanding data is not a strategic choice; it's a strategic imperative. Customer Marketing, Digital Success, Scale & Self-Serve Leader | Customer Engagement & Marketing Expert | Focused on Customer Journeys & Driving Revenue. | Ex-HubSpot, Marketo/Adobe, Intuit, Google, Coursera, & Apple
Did you know that 70% of software implementations fail due to a lack of user training? Reflecting on my time at companies like HubSpot, Adobe Marketo and Udacity I've seen firsthand the importance of equipping customers with the right tools and knowledge before they dive into using new technology. This is akin to ensuring a novice driver has adequate driving lessons before hitting the road. At HubSpot, inspired by my colleague Justin Champion (aptly named, indeed!), we blended community with education to enhance customer engagement. Justin pioneered community-led and collaborative learning initiatives. He cleverly linked university resources with community hubs, established learning cohorts, and organized study groups led by our own employees and industry experts. These strategies not only fostered a rich learning environment but also significantly propelled our University and Community platforms' growth. Why is this approach critical? In the tech world, providing customers with technology without proper training is like handing over car keys without driving instructions. During my tenure at various tech firms, I advocated for what I like to call "Driver’s Ed for Technology," a foundational educational program essential before product handover. Here are several key strategies for tech companies aiming to boost customer engagement through education: 🚘 Structure Your Learning Program: Before customers take the wheel, map out a clear and structured learning path. 🚘 Engage Experts: Leverage the knowledge of internal and external experts to enrich the learning experience. 🚘 Create Accessible Solutions: Maintain open channels for customers to seek help as they navigate both technology and educational materials. 🚘 Embrace Collaborative Learning: Foster an environment where users learn from each other, enhancing engagement and technological proficiency. 🚘 Implement Feedback Loops: Use customer feedback to continuously refine and improve educational content. 🚘 Create Short-Form Content: Develop concise resources like one-pagers, short slide decks, and brief videos to facilitate quick learning. 🚘 Give permission to fail and learn: Mistakes will happen, even when you are behind the technology wheel. As long as no lives are lost, that's ok. Implementing a comprehensive educational program is not just an add-on but a fundamental aspect of ensuring customer success and product mastery. By providing customers not only with technology but also the knowledge to use it effectively, companies can enjoy benefits such as faster ROI, increased product adoption, and reduced support tickets. Let's commit to empowering our customers with the knowledge they need to succeed.

🚀Continuous learning isn't just a concept, it's a crucial business mindset. Amy Regan Morehouse of ServiceNow emphasizes its importance in staying curious and informed. Continuous learning comes in three forms: * Formal Learning: Structured, organizational lessons. * Social Learning: Learning on-the-job, through mentorships or shadowing. * Self-Directed Learning: Individual efforts like podcasts, TED talks, and reading. Why does it matter? In an ever-evolving world, especially with rapid technological advances, continuous learning is vital for adaptability and internal employee development. Let's embrace lifelong learning to stay ahead and grow. How has continuous learning impacted your career? #ContinuousLearning #Adaptability #CareerGrowth 🌟

Coursensu is heading towards agile, full loop learning design ∞ LMS integration. D2L is the first platform & we're delighted to get stuck in with their integration partner program. We have the other major platforms in our sights, as demand surfaces. D2L's support, API documentation and partner joining experience has been flawless 💚. WHY? You know how important integrations are? Have you ever ranked what you _really_ need from a learning platform? Support, Integration, Community are often way ahead of other candidates (✨ buttons watch out!). YOU How do you iterate your learning designs? Can you grab your LMS content back into a design environment, tweak ideas in a simple, visual format then push back to your LMS? Can you even get your design content into the LMS without having a day of copy/paste? Yeah, exactly. It's a manual mess. You deserve better. VALUE Our goal is fully agile, iterative designs for learning. Imagine giving students a 'sticky note' version of their course to tweak/alter/feed back on. Power future design sessions with combinations of several great courses to make new templates. Design alongside learning analytics, learner feedback, assessment outcomes - all in the mix. It'd be cool wouldn't it? It's very exciting to see the potential for iteration within learning design unfold. More updates on this as/when it happens. #learningdesign #instructionaldesign #edtech #traininganddevelopment #integrations #d2l #lms #agiledesign
