We interviewed Sleep expert and Certified mindfulness based stress reduction teacher, Eric Lim, Co-Founder, Somnus Sleep Wellness about his wellbeing story, and it was indeed inspiring ⭐! 💠 Q. What does wellbeing mean to you? Wellbeing to me is about finding that inner balance through mindfulness. When I wake up, I gauge my mental wellbeing, acknowledging the ebb and flow of each day. I ask myself, 'What can I do right now to take care of this moment for myself?' It's an art of finding equilibrium within. 💠 Q: How do you unwind and improve your own wellbeing? A pivotal moment in my journey was when my dad fell ill, and I became his caregiver. Overwhelmed and lost, I realised the importance of my own wellbeing. Mindfulness became my anchor, helping me navigate challenges, fostering gratitude, and providing the energy to care for my family. 🌿 Wellness Wednesday 🌿 Taking a moment for mindfulness can make a big difference in your mental health. Midweek is a perfect time to pause, breathe, and refocus. Try these simple mindfulness exercises to reduce stress and improve your well-being: Deep Breathing: Take a few minutes to focus on your breath. Inhale deeply through your nose, hold for a count of four, and exhale slowly through your mouth. Gratitude List: Write down three things you are grateful for today. This can help shift your mindset to a more positive outlook. Body Scan: Close your eyes and mentally scan your body from head to toe, noticing any areas of tension and consciously relaxing them. Remember, taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. #WellnessWednesday #Mindfulness #MentalHealthMatters #PeerVoices

Alright, let's tackle this stress issue head-on. Stress is a real pain, right? But guess what? We've got your back, and so does the research. It's proven that diving into mindfulness and meditation can seriously kick stress to the curb. But, let's be real, there are those moments when you're like, "Meditate? Seriously? My mind is on a rollercoaster, and you want me to sit down and meditate?!" Here's a little secret for you—mindfulness doesn't always mean the classic cross-legged meditation; you've got options. Time to get creative and think beyond the norm. Here are three game-changing suggestions for you: Mindful Walking Stressed to the max? Forget sitting, walk it out. Leave the phone, set the intention, and stroll like a regular person. Feel your body move, notice the sights and sounds— walking just became your meditation. Mindful Conversations Talking all day but not really connecting? Try having a mindful conversation. Pair up, one talks with mindfulness, the other listens with it. Just knowing someone hears your thoughts and feelings—even for a few minutes—can be a game-changer. Meditate, but Keep it Real Sitting meditation, anyone? Adjust your game. Go for a walk first, break a sweat, or wind down before bed. Pick a soothing voice, or try one of our guided meditations on Chapter Two Meditation youtube channel. Don't stress about perfection—5 minutes, 10 minutes, or just one mindful breath. Keep it real, and keep moving forward. Keep it real, set achievable goals. Is five minutes making you feel a bit better? Awesome. Pushing for ten and feeling even greater? Fantastic. If all else fails, there's the one-breath meditation. Breathe in, breathe out—reset and carry on. Learn more about our Month of Mindfulness program we've just finished up a a 4-week session with a local Law Firm and are hearing about the positive impact and the team already beginning to implement the tools & techniques we shared with them.
