MY CYBLACK INTERNSHIP LOG BOOK Sprint 1: Threat Intelligence Reflection and Realizations During my first sprint, I identified areas where I needed improvement, not due to lack of knowledge, but inadequate practical foundation. This sprint taught me valuable lessons and hands-on experience. Key Takeaways: 1. Reliable sources for threat intelligence research: - IOC (Indicators of Compromise) - CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) - MITRE ATT&CK 2. Collaboration with team members broadened my knowledge and highlighted areas for growth. 3. Practical application of threat intelligence tools and frameworks. Threat Intelligence Research Our team researched potential threats to our fictional organization, focusing on: 1. Threat profiling using MITRE ATT&CK 2. Tracing threat actors' TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) 3. Comparing threats to our organization and developing mitigation strategies 4. Utilizing open-source threat intelligence software: - Whois for DNS searches - DNS Dumpster for domain insights - Threat modeling related to our organization - IOC analysis Key Skills Acquired: 1. Threat intelligence research 2. Threat profiling and modeling 3. MITRE ATT&CK framework application 4. Open-source threat intelligence tool usage 5. Collaboration and teamwork Outcomes and Confidence Boost with this level of practical knowledge I'm confident enough to apply for an entry level threat intelligence job 😅 I'm excited for the next Cyblack internship sprint, eager to continue learning and growing with my team. #cyblack #cybersecurity #internship

Passionate about the world of technology and with a great curiosity, I am a cybersecurity analyst and OSINT at cyberspector where I contribute to the creation of content related to cybersecurity.
It has been an exciting week at Virtually Testing Foundation as a Cybersecurity Validation Analyst. I learned about the benefits of threat-informed emulation plans and why they are recommended. Among its advantages is the detection and understanding of real cyberattacks. #VTfoundation #VTFMarch24 #internships

Why do employers almost always undervalue students? Please, do tell, because this is the only cybersecurity related internship I've ever encountered that ever offered to pay those who applied, which is precisely why it's the only one I've ever applied to.
