At Thriva Solutions, we're committed to transforming #HealthManagement through #Innovation, #Convenience, and #Access. That's why we're proud to showcase our partnership with the Health Innovation Network as part of an NHS-funded project, You & Type 2. During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, our intuitive at-home #BloodTesting platform helped create #PersonalisedCare plans for people with type 2 diabetes in southwest London. Our partnership shows the advantages of incorporating #RemoteMonitoring into annual reviews, reducing strain on #PrimaryCareServices while empowering individuals to engage with their condition management from home. "For certain individuals, remote monitoring and testing for diabetes care provides a valued alternative to face-to-face consultations. Commissioning such a pathway at a population level would enable economies of scale, reducing the cost per person, making the intervention more scalable, and ultimately freeing up GP practice resources" — read the full case study here to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eHmD4k5s #ProactiveHealth | #DiabetesAwareness | #Diagnostics | #PatientCentricCare

Diabetes management costs insurers and employers more than ever before—and digital health innovators are looking to prove that their solutions can help lower spending. PHTI’s assessment of digital diabetes management solutions made clear the need for greater evidence behind the technologies. Innovators should generate more clinical evidence to show insurers and employers that their solution delivers on financial and clinical promises. Healthcare Strategic Advisor / Advocate for Holistic Health Management = Digital Health + Diagnostics + Pharma + MedTech/Surgery
As a follow-up to my March commentary regarding PHTI's report on Digital Diabetes Management tools, I thought Jennifer Goldsack's article brought up great points especially around the need to better define digital health categories (care services were valuated, not technology) and develop a comprehensive/customize value-based assessment framework applicable to all digital health innovations. Well worth the read below. PHTI initiated the process but there's a lot more that needs to be done! As with any innovation, feedback and iteration are key to continuous improvement. #digitaldiabetes #digitalinnovations #weareinittogether

Healthcare Operations Strategist | Managed Care Specialist | Process Management | Data Analysis & Reporting
The analysis by the Peterson Health Technology Institute (PHTI) challenges the effectiveness of digital diabetes management tools, suggesting they do not provide significant clinical benefits and may lead to increased healthcare spending. The report questions the promises made by these tools over a decade ago and calls for a shift towards more innovative solutions. It highlights that current digital diabetes management tools are not delivering meaningful clinical benefits or improving health equity, ultimately concluding that they could raise healthcare costs instead of reducing them. https://lnkd.in/dt3HhWvk #healthcare #healthcareit #digitalhealth #mobilehealth #diabetes
